  2. again they ended it bad! that scene reminds me of uncontrollably fond!! both die in resting on their gal!! he never got recognised as the emperors son..better he dint else he would spoil his origin!! left a bad taste!!! even knowing its coming!!! Richard how could he be so pretty…all his facial bones are so attractive and even his acting and his killing smile is haunting!

  5. I am so confused with this ending, does this mean that they weren’t able to find the cure and he died while they were watching the moon…or does this mean that they did find it and he got cured at the end, both still wandering?

    Feels kinda like it was a long dream. Not sure how to feel about this confusing ending but I love how much of a power couple they were and I love her brother, he remained righteous and honorable throughout the whole series, now he gets to be the emperor in standing and raise Yue’s son as the surrogate father.

    Great job acting for all the actors involved and I found the story interesting, what I like the most is that both of our MC were flawed and ruthless.

  8. I am thinking he died in the desert and she is dreaming of their life as if he had lived … that works for me … life has been a brutal affair in this series and it doesn’t make sense to me to have a happy ending.

    I loved the production for this series … all those costumes were magnificent. Richard Li was outstanding … his facial expressions … in sickness and in health; in love, in jealousy etc were superb and he so nailed that white hair 🙌

    I have to say the old guy who played the Emperor … he did such a good job at being a disgusting, lecherous, raping. murdering, drug addicted, coughing and spluttering egotistical person. Thank god Richard Li was there to counteract his ugly character.

  9. i went in blind and didn’t expect this series to take so many dark and tragic turns 2nd leading couple’s story was heartbreaking and so is this one, i would say the ending is open

    FL’s acting improved so much over the length of the drama, i was so close to dropping it earlier but despite the tragedy i thought it was done better than a tale of love and loyalty, they had actual reasons to breakup and after so much i finally felt that these 2 love each other with how the FL decides to cherish the present instead of pretending not to know and separate.

    I also liked that they knew he would die and they got to spend the last 6 months together instead of just killing him off right after everything was resolved
