  1. A happy ending for some. It’s been hard on female characters that are not the FL or her maid. Dead, dead, dead and into a nunnery. Princess Jiayang, Qing Li, Empress Xiao Heng and Boss Lady/prostitute Chuyue.

  3. Overall is like a very mild… very normal drama… there was ntg here that made me go “wow”. The acress’s role was a lil annoying, but like, I’m kinda used to seeing those. But the ML’s acting was exceptional, and the chemistry between the leads was good. So yeah… it was like a fun watch but nothin groundbreaking. But one thing I wanted to see a lil more was the badass side of the FL. So yeah. 8/10

  4. Coward cunning emperor. By acting weak and leaking some crucial info here and there, he basically manipulates all around him into helping him secure his power. Dumbest is the ML. Dude sentences your whole family to death, without even a proper apology, you help the same dude?! The empress dies loving this hypocrite all because he whispered some sweet nothings to her while flirting with the FL nonstop right in her face. Although the villains obtained power through evil means, at least they were honest about what they were. The emperor is the biggest player of all. Don’t waste your time if you haven’t already.

  5. Not the worst I have seen but, definitely not great. I will give it a 5 1/2 out of 10 only because the ML was extraordinarily handsome and the FL was a total goof ball.

  6. I love the story, everything has been concluded according to plan, and happy ending! Now I will miss Wang YouShuo again and hope to see more of his projects!♥

    I rarely see an Empress who is friends with the female lead. The Emperor has handled this well, valuing friendship and brotherhood. The male lead demonstrates his strong character, balancing softness and firmness as the situation demands, similar to his dual role in the cdrama “The Inextricable Destiny.” Chu Yue has realized she cannot force love. The 2nd prince of Ninguo is the biggest loser for killing his own sister. The most painful part for Xiao Yun is that he killed the person he loved the most, while Heng always loved her brother, who was not truly her brother, and she died without knowing the truth. It’s a 9/10 for me! I hadn’t seen this female lead before, but when she remembered everything, she was skilled at martial arts again—without practicing for months? Anyway, she’s kinda cute and funny, and it’s impressive that she can joke with the Emperor like that! sana all!
