  4. even with all his efforts to heal her, i’m still not sold on jing’s love for meilin. attraction? yes. remorse yes? but love? with the way he lies so outrageously to her face every single day? heh idk. I mean she’s literally dying and he still won’t tell her the truth what kind of love is that he’s literally choosing himself over her!

  6. I am not convinced that Luo Mei truly forgives the CP. She may have fallen in love with him but her character has too much ethos and courage to meekly accept her fate and follow the b@st@rd to hell. I think she’s already calculating how to get through this quagmire with minimum losses. And I think that’s why she killed the Eunuch Liu. If he’d lived, he’d have signed whatever he was given and Jing He would be as good as dead – and the whole country in chaos.

    I think I’m getting my wish – for her to kill him in the end.
