  5. Wait… I can see how Vegas might have fallen for Pete but I fail to see where Pete might have fallen back for Vegas. Before getting tortured Pete was always scared of his presence and after getting tortured he somehow feels for Vegas when he had a few sad faces because his dad slapped him and his hedgehog died?? He electrocuted him, beat him with a metal baseball bat, gave him pet food and whipped him with a belt, that’s going to leave scars. And wasn’t there a scene when Pete admitted he actually didn’t like that kind of sex and cried about it? Seriously, I don’t understand why Pete is so nice to Vegas and when did he fall for him!?

    Also, jeez, the main family’s home is waay too easy to invade. I swear every other episode you see outsiders waltz right in despite the multiple bodyguards everywhere

    1. I don’t think Pete loved him at all, his situation is basically just like a perfect example of stockholm syndrome, which is why I don’t understand how people keep shipping them??? Their entire dynamic is EXTREMELY problematic and I don’t think there could possibly be a good outcome for them longterm even if they do end up together and everything gets resolved. Even if Vegas changes he’s still inflicted irreparable psychological harm on him. Pete deserves someone better and I wish people would stop romanticizing such an abusive and honestly tragic situation :/

    2. I think they actually failed those character’s development. You understand it better when you read the book. The show went too far from the book. According to the book, Pete fell in love with Vegas not because of the stocklom syndrome, but because he actually saw Vegas for who he really was, despite all the bad treatment. Vegas is the perfect example of children are not born bad,they are taught to behave badly. He is a good person poorly raised by an inadequate father and an absent mother and a loveless environment. Macau can’t be compared, because he had his cousin Tankhun who was a balance for him, since he behaved like a child and they bickered everytime (he had a simili childhood), also Vegas did eveything he could to protect him. And Vegas loves him unconditionally.
      In the book the characters’development is more fluid: Pete falls in love because he himself is a broken child. he is the type of person who has too much love to offer and always try to fix people. He describes himself as an easy person to live with, not because he actually believes it, but because life wasn’t easy for him, so he had to quickly adapt and adjust.
      Vegas falls in love because Pete offers him a safe place to express himself (i was shocked who easy talking about his own potential death is for him…but Pete understood him very well). As for sex, Pete loves pain. According to the author, he wasn’t just aware of it. Vegas was though. He said, he knew the first time he saw Pete. Pete did not forgive Vegas easily. It took time and efforts and the fact that Vegas was almost killed. Vegas is worse in terms of treatment in the book, but he was beyond redemption. They reach an understanding, but circumstances, jealousy and lack of communication were their main issue.

    3. Vegas just needed to be loved and Pete needed someone to love. Reason why he was so eager to adopt Venice (that and the fact that Venice seems to look like mini-Vegas) and he actually support Macau and the second family all the time Vegas was in the coma; he owed them nothing, but did it anyway.
      He literally saved Vegas from self destruction. And Vegas showed him he was not just an easy person to live with, he was someone worthy of sacrifice.
      They found each other, but the timing sucked if i might say. I really want to read their book. I think we will have more insight of their childhood and what made them who they are.

      PS: i do not condone Vegas’behavior. He is a or was a toxic person, and still is, since he is so jealous of Venice. The all points of the author were: Kinn was lucky to be born in the first family. Had he not, he would have been Vegas and maybe worse. Vegas was a bad person, but not beyond redemption. He is just the product of a bad environment. And last, the world need people like Pete and Tankhun. They seem insignificant, but they are gems

    4. Exactly ?%?%?% correct. Is why Porsche not regularly checking on beloved brother Porchay???. Why did it take so long to debrief, and Tankkun(Mr crazy sweet) have to act as the operations manager, rebel protestor for anyone to wonder about Pete. ME hoping that mr crazy Tankkun end up with PETE. He’s the only one with genuine love for Pete for me. SHIPPING PETE to Vegas wrong, just toxic wrong.
      Don’t the mafia have a standard procedure about what happens after a mission ?, and how releases for ‘vacations ‘ are conducted? NO daily headcount? This is supposed to be a big, illegal ? operation. Why aren’t they running a tight ship?… people missing and admin don’t know? wHHHAATT?
      SO POLICE could have been living in the house and they wouldn’t know??!!!
      I’m gonna rest here now, I’m too invested at this point, I’mma need an explanation in season 2….

Vegas already knew that Pete loved pain from when he first started to torture him and he was giggling moreover Pete is a broken child that was abused but in fact he didn’t realise just yet that he loved the pain in the pleasure when he cried and said he didn’t like that kind of $ex he wasn’t certain but he was trying to convince himself that he didn’t but Pete is so easy going that he could easily develop a soft spot for vegas after seeing vegas dad hit him a few times he could relate because he knew the same pain way too much, both of them being abused by their dads and after the hedgehog died he could see how soft vegas truly was and the tough act is just a front cos of how vegas was brought up in a loveless environment by an a$$hole of a father. Its a series and the story is mainly about Kinn and Porsche so the producers will not really focus on the vegas and Pete character so if u want to know more read the book and understand each character better cos it is more detailed in the novel

Even though vegas was the bad guy, the way pete just made him vulnerable for his own benefit was just baddd. he knew what vegas was going through and he still did it. even if he wanted to escape he could have done it differently. I guess what justifies it is that he had to save himself because vegas is a very toxic and manipulating a$$h0le.????
