Little Women (2022)

A story about three sisters who grew up in a poor family. They are embroiled in a serious incident and face against the richest and most powerful family in the country.

Oh In Joo (Kim Go Eun) is the oldest sister who tries her best to financially protect her family. Growing up in extreme poverty, she always dreamed of living as well as other normal people, but a major incident completely changed her life.

Oh In Kyung (Nam Ji Hyun) is the middle sister. She is a journalist, but does not want to bow down to power and money. In Kyung always strives to act according to his conscience. When a mysterious case from her early reporter days returns close to her, she tries to find out the truth.

Oh In Hye (Park Ji Hoo) is the youngest sister. She is overwhelmed by the love of her older sisters who do everything for her well-being.  Despite she has never even used decent art supplies due to poverty, she enrolls in art school.

Choi Do Il ( Wi Ha Joon) is a capable consultant who graduated from a prestigious university in the UK. Possessing a keen sense of judgment and exceptional analytical skills, Choi Do Il is a charismatic personality whose aristocratic and intelligent appearance draws the attention of others. He will also play the key role of a mysterious figure who appears in front of Oh In Joo when she is involved in a major incident.

Based on the novel of the same name by Louisa May Alcott.

  3. I was gonna skip this one.

    *Spoiler alert*
    This drama didn’t seem very appealing to me. However, I knew from the all-star cast that this drama was going to be one of the popular ones released this year. I had read in some of the comments that this drama was one the best they have seen and that it possibly could be the best drama released in 2022. It was such comments that rekindled the hope I had for this drama and in the end made me watch it. I guess it is subjective who your favorites are and it depends on what you want from a drama and what genre’s you’re drawn to. This drama had a couple of different storylines that in the end connects to show the viewers the whole picture which I liked – it made it unique. However, for me personally, the main storyline of this drama didn’t interest me and it took a few episodes for me to get hooked on it. To me, the most interesting thing about this drama was the internal affaris between Won Sang-A and Park Jae-Sang. It gave me Penthouse drama vibes and I truly loved that part. And I genuinely think that Won Sang-A was a really interesting character that I wish that they had pursued more in terms of her past and her psychology. This drama starts out generally slow paced as it builds up over the episodes and was at the beginning more of a slice-of-life drama. It is clear that this drama was well thought out. It didn’t end hastily and by the twelfth episode we had all our answers as all loose ends were tied nicely. Usually I would mention the feelings it brought up in me, but this drama didn’t tickle my brain. To me, this drama served as pure entertainment – it’s a good quality drama with well-known actors. Overall this drama was really great and in top quality for it’s genre and I’m really happy that I watched it for the experience after all.

    It had a feel-good ending and justice was served.

  17. When the series are already in the middle, I can really state that this is the best series I have seen this year and super strong and captivating drama – it has everything, starting from strong cast, good unpredictable plot, etc. It is absolutely uncompareable with many other ongoing dramas.

  19. Why is it where Uhm Ki-Joon (park jae sung) is, he is always the one causing trouble ?, you’ll understand if you’ve watched his other dramas, “penthouse” as an example

      1. I don’t see how it is based on the book- the book contains no crime, instead it’s a peaceful-family-ish book. you can see some similarities, but I don’t think “based” would be a good word here.
