  2. This drama has a multitude of unpleasant characters but the one that tops them all is the mom. Her behavior is so manipulative and controlling and her greed for money is so bad that I had to quit watching. 😡

  4. ⚠ Spoilers Ahead!

    Warning bells! We have seen them but not that dumbo, Tae-Ho. He still went to meet Hyo-Sim’s mom after he had seen firsthand her obnoxious character. Now even he wants to marry her and into her family of obnoxious leeches.

    Meanwhile, Ms. No-Aerobics is still being deprived of you know what by Tae-Min who is unable to perform and I am convinced that he is an eunuch, not just a dud Lambo.

    Hyo-Do was such a good actor for feigning ignorance that Tae-Hee is the scion of a chaebol family and acted so ‘surprised’ when they went to meet her evil mom. Evil mom’s lapdog cum lover bashed Hyo-Do, cementing my belief that he is Tae-Hee’s biological dad. What will Hyo-Do do? Will he lodge a police assault for assault? Bet not because lapdogs of a chaebol has more power than leeches.

    Now that Tae-Ho’s grandma knew who he is dating, will she try to stop him from being sucked into that dysfunctional family of leeches? Funny he said that his family is a mess, so why is he marrying into a family of worse mess. Maybe he can be the king of the mess since they are poor and he can be in control. Money wields power and influence, always.

  11. m fed up of this dialogue of his that Hyo sim had it rough all her life, and then he and his mum come running and makes it more effing hard for her….one episode he is so gud that he supports Hyo sim unconditionally and very next moment he becomes his mum’s son….I mean if it was so tough for her, then let her at least be in peace now….

    yeah right, as if your mother would let her marry ever or ever let her be happy….

    and sorry but no sorry, I was in support of the elder brother, but he’s straight out hypocrite, his own teenage, high schooler daughter is dating and he dare can’t do anything about it and his 35 year old independent sister can’t date whoever she wants even in this age and he’s meeting her bf and asking him to breakup with her without even talking to his sister first and discussing anything with her….he proved to be the same as the rest of his family today…..such a disappointment.

    and dun know what kinda “her own life” Hyo sim is living, she’s still letting her mum and her family to trample all over her, insult her bf, let them insult her in front of her bf, anything her mum says, she has the same popped out eyes, surprised expression, and just one word she blurts out after every dialogue her mum says, “eomma” and the mum starts again, I mean if you aren’t gonna shut your mom up even now, after all these years, after all what she said to u and your bf, then u better move back with your mom….

    and I was like WTH?? what era is he living in??? who meets their gf or bf’s family to get permission for dating??? you aren’t marrying her that u need permission, and wasn’t he the one who asked her to move out and live independently cx she’s old enough now??? does that not count dating whoever she wants??? does she needs her mum’s permission to even date for the 1st time in her life at the age of 35???? what is the writer doing??? each and every character says one thing one moment and the other moment they contradict their own previous statement….

  16. ive been watching kdramas since forever. and hyo shim’s mother is one of the worst characters ive ever seen. i cant remember a character who has pissed me off as much as her lol. also this drama has the most characters ive ever hated in a series. its amazing how so many are in one series lol.

  17. The thing is that Tae Min and Soo Kyung actually have great potential for character development.

    So, Soo Kyung married Tae Min because she liked him(!?). Well, if that is the case, then an interesting development for her would be to gradually change the way she thinks to the point where her speech and actions resonate with what Tae Min desires. That would make her a better person, and she gets what she wants: to be seen in a positive light by Tae Min.

    Tae Min is a resourceful man who has the right intuition, but he constantly makes the wrong decisions in life (when to jail for his father, can’t say no to his mom, did not help his grandmother, etc.). If he can learn to stand up for himself, it will change his life for the better without comparison. For example, maybe he uses his new wife, with her considerable resources, to break free from his mother and to help his cousin.

    I hope the writer is going to exploit the potential that exists. Or it can just be another story of a man who ruined himself, blamed others, got evil, and a wife who is equally evil and jealous……

  19. And I thought Rubi was the sane one. How does she want to work on getting her aunt back to live with that horrid haimonee of hers. Ruby’s mum is so dramatic, how is she sick from just helping out just one day. Hyo shim will have to be super strong, her family is made up of leeches, even her older brother who I thought has sense, still wants to control who she dates 😳.
    Hyosung is a very weak man, no balls. He actually knows the details of what exactly has been going down at Taesan and yet he is too scared to help Taeho .Now his emotions are in the way due to Hyoshim he thinks he is TaeHo’s boss. It will be in his favour to stick to Taeho but his mind does not see that far, he can’t even run his household .

    Don’t make me start on Hyoshim’s mother, what a waste of a parent. In fact Hyoshim needs to completely cut herself off from this family. No one cares really.The toxicity is at an all time high, she does not need them.

    I understand Keut soon is lonely buts still she needs to respect her tenant’s boundaries. You cant just walk into their homes and do as you wish. She gets on my nerves, forcing relationships with people. There is a way to be friendly and still remain respectful.

    If Hyoshim is not careful she will be marching back to her mother very soon🙄.

    Oh and TaeHo’s haimonee needs to reveal herself to him, he will be in jail as soon as yesterday if she does not. That horrid aunt of his is planning his epic downfall, she better work with him. The guy is all alone , no one wants to help. Hyoshim has no clue, and even if she knew well what is going down, how could she help really. Poor Taeho.

    Tae min is a good person, he is just stuck with the wrong mother who he needs to cut off asap.

  20. Well now this has given halmoni incentive to set the stage for helping them stay together. She wants HS and TH to be happy and now her two favorite people are together. She has no reason not to fight for them and that means coming forward. So I think she will reveal herself at this “party” they are talking about. I was a bit annoyed she didn’t run to him but it could also put him in danger if he knows she’s alive and she knows that. She also doesn’t know who all she can trust yet and running to someone when you are presumed to be dead is a lot of trauma at once. I mean imagine you went through all seven stages of grief to process a loved ones death plus finding out the shit they went through before said supposed death and all the blame you felt and then they just come running at you one night. This isn’t Tank and Pete lmao. That would be a lot and halmoni is quite perceptive so I think she knows that. Good on them for character continuity but Im also still annoyed because I want the reunion. I know it’s a drama so they will drag it out though.

    I agree with HS on not revealing that he’s with TS group because she’s going to take advantage of him and the entire family but I think both of those women could check each other. God knows their own children can’t get through to them.

    Since HS is wearing black and he said they are meeting his parents, we’re def getting a grave scene in the next ep. “Mom, dad, this is the woman I love.” Ahh…TH is really good with emotions so I might actually cry.

    Can someone just ground that Rubi kid before the sabotages everything we’ve worked for? She is getting on my nerves. I like that their dad is not letting them force HS back and I get why he’s so protective of HS. I can see his side but since I know TH, I need him to back off from that side of things xD

I was guessing HS was in her early 30s(30 or 31) but common 35, the mom is so annoying her bro needs to pass the bar exam so that he can introduce her to his friends, what makes her so confident that those son imaginary friends will be interested in her daughter who would be in her late 30s then with nothing to her name let’s be realistic here the mom is delusional.

  25. Mr. Yeom going berserk on Hyo-Do pretty much confirmed for me that he is Tae Hee’s father.
    As much as I detest Hyo Sim’s mom, Yoon Mi-Ra is a talented actress. It’s not easy acting out the role of a narcissistic mother fighting to control her daughter. All that wailing on the floor, screaming as she abruptly switches from victim to persecutor. Physically exhausting. Can you imagine the director requiring YMR to re-do some of the dramatic scenes over and over? Nevertheless, I already visualize her character busting in on Tae Ho during a board meeting. She’s probably the sweetest person in real life.
