Blaming a sick person for not telling you about her illness is madness. Oh her fam now wanna show her love smh . Seung-Hyo is SeokRyu’s comfort zone. I can’t wait for episode 11 where the real rom-com starts. Too bad his parents are getting divorced because of his mom.

I feel for her ex , i love how this kdrama is portraying former love ones as not being toxic compared to other kdramas but is more realistic to life , Her ex loved her and took care of her when she was at her low point. If she got back with her ex then we would not have a kdrama to watch
this is not a rom com. this is heavy drama. i hate watching this kinds of dramas. but i started it, i gotta finish it. the only rom com in this is the 2nd lead couple. and that headbutt though. hahahahaha if this drama doesn’t have the cast that they have, no one would like this drama. plot is very confusing and categorizing this as rom com is criminal. nothing comedic about this drama.

Moem is the cutest. Her moment with Seokryu after finding out, and that kiss is so spontaneously cute, and funny afterwards. I really enjoy her character. Actually everyone in this drama is bringing such good work I’m thoroughly immersed.

I think for me most interesting aspect in this drama is over. I was more curious about what kind of relationship she has shared with her ex which lasted for almost 10 years. It’s not a small thing to overlook.
This drama made me dislike these childhood, best friends to lovers tropes more and more.
FL doesn’t need to go through hardships again to find another love, because she has ready made man who lovers her unconditionally, all she needs to do open up to him. Very very convenient trope.
Friends are supposed to be our comfort zone, where we will feel little bit ease to share our problems as they don’t judge us like others.
I would’ve liked ML as cupid who helps her to realize shortcomings in her and helps her to mend relationship btw her and her ex, but this is kdrama. Those things won’t happen.
They are dealing other things well like illness, depression and how it impacts persons and relationships but I’m not really feeling any kind of loveline btw leads.
dun know what anyone says or feel, but i felt for the man 😔😔😔😔. I felt so bad for him, he didn’t do anything wrong, and all the things that he said that he didn’t love her the right way bla bla bla, I dun agree with a single thing, he loved her and he proved that in every way he could…..he deserves the best….
and m happy that finally someone whom the FL loved before the ML, and he wasn’t toxic, he wasn’t a cheater, he wasn’t an abuser, in fact, surprisingly, he was a keeper, he loved her and was loyal to her despite everything they went through, he respected her and her decisions and its quite clear that she still love him….m glad they didn’t end her relationship because she chose a bad man, and she won’t fall in love with the ML because he’s the best out there…..she met a great man, was in love with him and would gradually move on and find love again…
just loved that writer didn’t take the typical route 👏👏👏
but honestly, I wanted her to end up with her ex, we root for the main lead if the ex is a bad person and which in all the dramas, is the case, it makes it easy to root for the lead couple, but here, I dun care if I get hate for this, I dun want her to end up with Seung hyo, it’s feeling forced and just because he’s the lead, she has to end up with him, when in fact, he did nothing new for her when it comes to be on her side when she needs someone, comfort her, respect her and her decisions, make her happy, all this, her ex did and he did nothing wrong to be disposed off like that….
I’ve been saying this that they really need communication and finally when they decided to do that….🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Moeum was such a comedic relief in the emotional rollercoaster that this episode was. Her head butting the reporter after the sudden kiss and running away to literally next door was hilarious 🤣
And she is an exceptional friend. She understood that SR needed comfort, love and support rather than pressure and tention and just gave her a tight hug ❣️
they market this drama wrong, it isn’t romcom like business proposal or secretary kim but slice of life drama like 2521 or home town chacha, etc
It’s a great slice of life drama tho, there is a lot of life issues that is very relatable for us
I felt sorry for Seok Ryu this whole episode. After everything she’s been through, physically and mentally, her loved ones are forcing her to go through pain, guilt, regret again… I don’t know how people imagine depression is treated, but it sure doesn’t help that you’re going to yell at that person or that you force them to express their anger and dissatisfaction through shouting and crying. I generally don’t like their attitude (in dramas) towards people with mental problems. It seems that all a person needs is someone to point out that they are not expressing their feelings adequately and half the problem is already solved.
Mo Eum is the highlight of this episode. I’m always in favor of the fact that if you can’t help someone and make it easier, don’t make it harder for them.
Her ex-fiancé will remain a sore spot for me until the end 😢. It would have been better if he didn’t come to Korea, but if everything ended with their breakup in the past. After this episode, I have the feeling that he was seriously wronged. The man did nothing wrong, and he certainly deserved a second chance after all. I think they “buried” him with the sentence: “I only focused on getting you back on your feet, I never thought to fall down with you.” And that line is exactly what they’re going to build her relationship with Seung Hyo on.
Would you, in all honesty, take the one you like to the airport to see her ex off, I certainly would not.
I’m glad that everyone let out all the pain this episode. This reveal was going to be heavy but was needed nonetheless. We got a clearer perspective of why Seokryu hid her illness from everyone despite struggling alone and her reasons are valid and well understandable. What she needed at the moment was comfort rather than confrontation. But I can understand her parents’+Seungyu’s reaction as well. Suddenly finding about something so serious as this can be overwhelming. Though not the perfect way, they processed it the best they could. I’m sure Seokryu understands this as well. The frustration and self-blaming that came with it can make a person react this way. They’re human after all. Eventually, they let all the pain out and were able to comfort her better. Hopefully this is a step towards a healing journey.

For me,I am actually quite disappointed.I get that they wanted to take a realistic turn in terms of ex,still when you are on the way of establishing a friends-to lovers trop you can’t /shouldn’t show such deep feelings of one with another person,even if he is a ex.Actually choisseung’s ex made it clear that he never had those sparkling contribution to their relationship.Here seok-ryu is quite emotionally involed still with her ex(Now people will say,her ex part is a very imp part of her life blah..blah..)
Already epi 10 & I can’t accept sudden extreme passionate love from seok-ryu side in later episodes.Even if she dies & choisseung cries for 2 episodes,won’t matter to me(Everything goes towards his pain Only in this love).
Sometimes,I feel Their kissing scene would also be too much awkward.They actually aren’t couple to me yet(don’t have hopes for next episodes to Change this perspective)
Then comes,his parent’s drama next week(could have wrapped this up in this week minimizing the ex’s scene).Sigh…
Many thought,This was like he fell first & she harder,tbh she never fell(childhood crush doesn’t count)
P.s-she is seen as an independent woman,but her too much Independency is out of my liking.She needs to be learned the definition of a family.Period

I felt sorry for the ML during the entire drama so far. He has been living with unrequited love his entire life, he went as far as visiting her in the US and finding her lovey dovey with her ex. Him choosing not to reply to her text messages is absolutely right because he has his own life to think about and move on with. She has no right to blame him for that when she has a bf conveniently taking care of her and she never reached out to Moeum either (is she a third wheel in this friendship or what). The ML again tried to distance himself and move on, she told him point black in an earlier episode that she has the right ti butt in his life whenever she feels like it, which leads him to make a confession… That she promptly rejects AND makes fun of his feelings!! Being sick really does not give her the right to be this entitled. She never shares anything with him yet expects him to understand everything. When he opens up she rejects him??? She had a healthier relationship with her ex (who btw did nothing wrong and comes off as more mature than the ML). There is nothing romantic about these two, they are childish around each other and the FL is SO entitled around him. The writing of this drama is pathetic. I don’t feel anything but platonic liking and asserting dominance from her side, she was in a 10 year relationship which fulfilled all her dreams of a boyfriend. What is the reasoning of suddenly moving on to her childhood friend? She even witnessed him kissing his then girlfriend and showed zero reaction as opposed to him when he saw her with her then bf. All of a sudden, she feels jealous and we get one single line about her liking him first as a toddler. This makes zero sense.
Moeum is portrayed as an exceptional friend because she doesn’t get involved with the FL beyond a couple of conversations and vice versa, the FL never really asks her about her life.
The ML on the other hand doesn’t get any privacy from the FL and himself keeps pursuing her every minute of the day and solving her family problems. it’s unfair to put these two friendships on the same scale.
TF!!! is this a joke I’m not done with the episode yet but what the helll that’s why she couldn’t tell them because apparently hiding from them that she was sick is her thing that she is better than them?? wow now that they know that that she had cancer I was hoping a hug from them and taking good care of her but your child not telling you that she was sick is much bigger than her sickness woaahhh when she went for drumming I was nauseous I might change my mind after I see the whole episode and their attitude towards her but this was not the appropriate initial reaction from the family
now that the we’re done with the waterworks, it’s time for some butterflies!
I bet on ML DAD is the problem and not the ML mom.
I really doubt she has an affair. It’s most likely bad communication between them. The Dad always uses silent treatment, being busy, not communicating and running away from problem instead of solving it.
And the only reasonable reason I can understand why FML doesn’t going back to her ex, is because FML find what she really wants in South Korea, while her ex life is in the US. FML doesn’t have any reason to be back to US, she hates her pass job.
They used to plan having a life in US together, they used to have the same dream, but now everything has changed. The ex always asked FML to move back to US with him eg going to cooking college in US last episode, but after seeing FML being happy close with her family in South Korea, he is finally letting her go. Having near death experiences, might change FML and now she wants to spend her remaining time close with her family
The hard reality of life. There’s those who are happy, and others utterly sad. When it panned to Hyeonjun, realizing he’s probably lost all chances, i felt his sadness. His character is so refreshing, not a scum ex trying to stir trouble. He was actually a very kind and good boyfriend, they had a great relationship. I hope to see him in a lead role in the future.
What even. Didnt think I could cry from the start of an episode till the last minute. But such a wholesome episode! Scriptwriting was done well this time >.<
How seokryu got angry back at seunghyo for ignoring her (pfft. because of?? zzz.) when she was having a hard time and how the ex decided to go back to US. Such a matured send-off.
And I think someone in the prev epi was right? Something abt his mum. Is she… ok? Dont tell me the funeral things we thought cos of seokryu initially was in fact meant for his mum. Hais.

The drama was promoted as healing. Though the main leads did not do that for me. These 4 characters from this drama are very well written:

Ep 8 and 9 should have been the beginning of this drama. I feel like now we have a great start.
I like the ML but I feel like he should learn how to communicate and talk to the FL better. I feel like it’s not the first time he speaks harshly to her..
I feel bad for the ex tho… I have been in that situation. Nobody knows exactly how to support someone in their depression. They loved each other so much. What a waste…

Actor aside, can I be honest and say I don’t like Seung Hyo behavior that much? he’s a bit controlling in my opinion. “I’ll give you a short time” to Hyeon Jun – he’s not even her boyfriend.. I don’t know, once I found out that SML didn’t cheat I don’t hate him anymore and I feel pity for him.. It’s not easy to be with someone with depression. He’s just a normal human being.. And it makes sense to go to a party to try to not let the depression consume him too.. Truth be told I skipped a lot of scenes so maybe I missed some critical ones which would’ve changed my mind..

The exe’s chapter is finally closed. His character had such an impactful presence and this was because he was different from the toxic exes we typically see who cling to the FL bcz their ego couldn’t take being dumped. In the end, I ended up rooting for him. Maybe not with the FL, but he deserves his own happiness bcz he is a good man who loved her and treated her well. 🥰

Tbh, I felt more sad for him. Can’t say he deserved better considering he was also responsible for the break-up, but I would definitely appreciate the writers for giving him a nice ending in this episode.

I hate her mom more and more every episode she’s such a hypocrite. Even after all of this she only thinks about herself “she thinks she’s better than us” I f*cking hate her.
Seok-Ryu shouldn’t be apologizing to anyone☹️. Even if it’s her family they have no right to get mad at her for not telling them.

On an ending note I wanna say that MO-EUM IS THE BEST! finally someone with a reaction that shows genuine care for her.. My favorite scene of this episode!!! the hug was adorable, no screaming, no crying, just a hug.

No matter how great of an actor somebody is if you are close to them and care for them you should know when something is wrong. Your hard working kid dropped everything, did something very much out of character and got all depressed and you didn’t care at all, even hated on them. Shitty parent alert. And even after learning about their illness you still can’t be there for them? What the actual…?
AHHHH!!!!! No preview for next episode!!!!!!! However, I bet his parents divorce will be next big plot twist and she will help him get through it, thus they will finally bond and be together.

Seok Ryu and Choisseung fight on the beach was intense and amazingly done. Like… I could feel my chest got a lot lighter after they both conveyed what they needed to say. I guess it takes one to know one. I’m glad that he brought up how she took him out of his cave and explained that he wanted to do the same for her.
I’m still amazed on how they always naturally reconcile immediately after every fight. It’s just really endearing to see that they have that much room and honesty for each other.
Ex-bf started dating Seok Ryu when she was already at her best, so I guess it’s harder for him to accept her when she fell (he tried tho). But Choisseung knew her inside and out when she was still “her” and climbed up the ladder with her while growing up. And while I know Choisseung could’ve done better, and I do appreciate the ex-bf to some extent, the kind of bond that Seok Ryu and Choisseung have is truly on a different domain.
And lastly,
Ms Bae Seok Ryu, sweetheart, smile looks GREAT on you 🥹❤️
And altho I know it’s mostly because of his lunch plan with his wife, but partially, even Seunghyo’s father was in a good mood after reading Seok Ryu’s diagnosis that she was okay. I think it’s really nice cute little details.

okay i can understand why people are mad at Seung Hyo, but just understand his prespective guys come on, he has a one sided love and he cant even able to confess to her because she was in a relationship. And if i was Seung Hyo i would have also for sometime ignored her, because if you were to speak with your crush/one side love trust me you cannot able to move on. Seok-ryu also has issues here, she didnt tell her parents because she doesnt want them to be worried…. Fine i get it, but hiding it from friends is too extent cause those are the times you need moral support, but if you dont have anyone for the moral support you will crumble even faster. Seok-ryu asked at the end of the previous episode will letting them know about the canc*er will reduce by pain or cure it or something like that…. Girl thats not about it, if oyur friends knew about it then would have stayed by you, as the saying goes the more the merrier. It would make you less miserable. Anyway, all were fumbled in the show and i like how the show and the writer go about it.
Another complaint you guys seriously the story has been slowly unfolding and everything coming to pieces. You guys are saying this is not a rom-com, like just because a drama has a romcom tag doesn’t mean it should be like the Business proposal, WWWSK. I see the elements of the romcom, and i like this type of route in the romcom, it’s a bit of fresh air.
ML acts childish, like seriously so how’s the FL acting when she is with him?? He is just like that when he is around Seok-ryu. and the only reason he is portrayed as childish is because Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu share the most screen time, so we have no choice but to feel that way. We saw many moments were we saw his matured side also like when handling the old man issue. Everyone calls him like a man of few words. So i don’t know maybe i write a lot i can put the pieces together of the writer.
I like the emotions portrayed in the drama and the actors are fabulous.
Give it some time guys It falls into places beautifully as the writing and story is more grounded and mixed with some K-drama elements.
SL couples love them… Simple comment and that describes them…..

Why do people with above average means live in appartment with just enough space to go around while people who are considered kind of average to just below average generally live in houses that just need to be renovated to look like castles. with plenty of space around.
I am from France so this is a cultural difference that i don’t understand.
