  1. Dear writernim and gentle readers,I haven’t recovered from snowdrop!! My heart can’t take another sad ending!!! I need this writer to work with my theory please!! Just a happy ending for the Jung couple, you can break up the other couple or kill off the ex,I promise!!! I wouldn’t mind that.

  2. This episode is heartbreaking πŸ’”. Jung Haein always said there will be happy moments. I’ll be positive and keep watching.

  3. Her ex doesn’t cheated on her. They need to give proper clarity about her relationship with ex and why he doesn’t deserve 2nd chance. It seems she is also equally responsible for that relationship failure. If he was ML in some other drama, he would definitely get another chance. Who doesn’t have flaws?. It’s not like many years passed or FL moved on and already fall in love with another man before he comes.

It seems more than half problems FL facing is due to many shortcomings in her. We can excuse and defend her decisions but it is what it is.

At this point, ML needs move on from those unrequited feelings for FL. He has a wonderful ex. First time suffering from 2FL syndrome.

  4. Though this is not just romcom anymore and the first 8 episodes had a bit awkward script. Admit ep 9 was well written. Hyeon Jun was after all not a bad guy. Now I understand why she put up with him all these days. He did have a slip of tongue before they broke up, but understand his POV totally. I feel the only reason she cannot give him a second chance is because she does not want to go to US.

Last scene was totally heartbreaking. This makes a great first episode for a Slice of Life drama rather than ep 9 of a romcom. The moment Seung Hyo saw the diagnosis he made me tear up.

  5. I don’t know what to say. This went from rom com to tragedy pretty quickly. Not that I’m complaining, but I feel a little cheated. I came for the giggles and got tears.

I understand the attitudes of most of the characters and I don’t blame them for the decisions they made. I can’t blame Seok Ryu for not telling anyone about her illness. Until you find yourself in her shoes, you cannot know what you would do and how you would do it. I don’t blame her ex-fiancΓ© either. I actually respect that he stayed with her through the most difficult period and I also understand the fact that he couldn’t take the pressure, which is inevitable, until the end.
One of the few complaints is Seok Ryu’s attitude towards Seung Hyo. She has every right to reject Seung Hyo’s feelings, but she has no right to explain to him that what he feels is not love. It is an underestimation and belittling of something as pure as emotions.

I guess we’ll be dealing with this painful subject (cancer) for sure for a few more episodes, but I think it’ll be an opportunity to see the characters change and mature before us, so I won’t complain in advance.

  6. it seems like hyung jun didn’t do anything wrong and they both love each other. it feels weird to ship seok ryu and seong hyu….

  7. Is hyung jun a renowned actor?
why is he given so much screen time?
No matter what the cause is,this drama isn’t about him & seok-ryu

  8. When the FL has a relapse of stomach cancer, the other side stories that were cute just become annoying. They didn’t show her wearing that ring ion the jungle gym. You could guess that the reason why she called off the wedding is driving her to push the ML away. How many people will she hurt by hiding the cancer. I suspect that she knew that it had come back so she cancelled the wedding. I don’t think that the writers are on top of their game with a hot mess like this.

  9. ok I know that she’s shown to be someone who loves kids, and she’s really fond of this little girl, but they really need to tone down a bit, it’s so excessive and weird, I mean, who sits beside the bed and see someone else’s child sleeping??? parents dun even do this even to their own children lolx. we understand that she’ll only be “eligible” for his love and to love him, if she’ll pour all the love that’s in her, on his kid, she has to be extra and extra and another extra sweet and kind and has to love children so she can marry him in the future, but this is too much, no one does this, please….m enjoying their story, their progress as a potential couple, but this is now cringe beyond cringe…..

  10. that was cruel, I agree!!! Bae seok ryu u dun do this to him, just say no, but dun do this….πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

  11. did I cry the whole time!!! 😒 😒😒 both Hae in and So min were too gud in this scene….and the moment the mum hugged her 😭😭😭😭😭

and thank GOD she’s fine for now, I hope it stays this way….

  12. I love them, dad’s got some moves 😁😁😁

and how refreshing to hear this dialogue not from a young couple…I was smiling and giggling and laughing throughout this scene….❀️❀️❀️❀️

  13. though I didn’t like him being clingy and all, but i really wanna take this opportunity to appreciate him for staying by her side and even keeping his work aside to take care of her when she got sick, man really loved her and helped her every way he could, so credit where its due πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. and she was actually genuinely happy with him and he provided her every reason to be….

and I know he got frustrated when she got depression, and absolutely not condoning what he said to her, but I also know that it’s not easy, it’s never easy to deal with a sick person, they get frustrated, irritated, lose the will to live, and she got two of the most biggest health problems, Cancer and depression….he stood by her side every time but he also got fed up is totally humanly possible and understandable, I know it’s off putting for many many people and many probably won’t understand, but as someone dealing with depression, I know it’s difficult even for the patient itself to deal with, let alone for someone else….yeah he shouldn’t have said what he said, but it was probably his 1st time also dealing with depression and its symptoms and her mood swings changing every minute, it can get hard…..but dun wanna take this away from him that he tried hard and his best…..

and thank GOD finally she said “No” to him, I hope he heard it clearly…..

  14. A few things:
    1. Can’t get the FL here. I mean she is sick and had cancer. The first thing you should do is tell your family about it. Talk to them and be with them instead of not telling them so “they have not to suffer”. It’s a selfish thing to do.

    2. Why the hell writers tried to antagonize that ex-bf? He supported Seok-ryu through all her illness, cared for her, be with her only to be left because of one big fight. Yes they had to remove ex-bf out of the picture but the reason should’ve been better and not just one fight. Yes his bf said nasty things but they should have talked about it rather than dumping him. Her illness was also hard on him. Not defending him but perhaps the reason for the whole breakup should’ve been much better.

    3. Why would Seung-hyo open any letter of other person? Ok you love Seok-ryu and all that but still how could he open letter addressed to her?.

  15. Where is the COMEDY in this rom-com? This has turned into a full-on tragedy at this point. Despite that, I can enjoy this for what it is because it’s good.

From the outside, I still don’t get why she would not tell her family/friends about her health, but I can understand/accept that her reasons seemed valid to her. I also don’t blame the ex-fiance after watching this episode because it was evident he tried his best to be by her side through it all. He’s human after all, and eventually could not deal with the pressure (no one can fully understand unless they experience it themselves).

“Can’t you rely on me.” I could feel Seunghyo’s desperation and hurt during that converstation. I understand that she doesn’t have the emotional capacity to handle a relationship right now, but her rejection was a little harsh. Putting his feelings down to confusion was not right. No one has the right to tell him what he feels or how genuine his feelings are.

  16. The ex fiancΓ©’s past highlights how a disease like cancer takes its toll on the patient’s family as well. They need breathing space too

  17. i did not like the plot then, i still don’t like it. then it becomes worse, from happy then sad then even worse news. like wtf??? good thing the 2nd lead couple has good enough of a story line

  18. Yeah, I don’t like the mom. She will only now care and repent for her actions when her daughter is sick. It should take her daughter to have cancer to get some gentle love from her mom.

  19. that jungle gym scene where she told him his feelings weren’t real ruined my entire week, I haven’t even finished the episode but Id just like to say a big fck u to seokryuπŸ˜ƒ

  20. So… Even though some things of the story are weird, this episode helped to make sense of many other things.

Seok Ryu is absolutely broken. Broken to the point that if she loves someone she will end up hurting them or that her illness will be to hard on them, that they (people who love her like Seung Hyo) don’t deserve to go through that love experience, that because they (her parents) are continuously pushing her to be something don’t love her enough to put on with her illness…

Because her illness isn’t just the cancer, it’s her mental health too.

She’s better off alone. THEY are better off without her.

And so she lies, she pretends, she hides behind her smile and easy-going personality.

She’s spiritually, emotionally, mentally broken and also sick…

I believe the story they are wanting to tell is how one can be loved even after making so many bad choices and even after continuously pushing people away. They are trying to tell that someone will at least TRY to understand her (which is so meaningful for a person going through hardship). That you can be understood and loved even after all that…

And yes, lives like hers exist all over. A collection of bad choices in order to protect yourself and protect others from you.

  21. I am glad that she rejected her ex and didn’t go back to him. He does regret everything but that’s how hard it is for a person with such difficult disease and it’s not that easy too for people around them. Her boyfriend was selfish and she was suffering. Most of cancer patients go through depression that’s why their family, friends and loved ones has to be around them.
I did get upset at Seok Ryu at the jungle gym scene no matter how she see and view his feelings she didn’t have any right to label or judge them. Only seung hyun has. He might have found his mother in her but that might have been when they were younger , not when they are adults now.

I cried at the last scene. Really really hats off to seok Ryu for going through the illness away from her family and home. I don’t think it’s easy to go through it away from home , alone and away from your loved family.
Her mom really cried her heart out at that moment and God knows how much she blamed herself for doing whatever she did to her daughter.

  22. aww her and her ex was cute though. At this point, I just want her to be happy because she lived her entire adult life so competitively

  23. I get that the ex-bf was good to her before & they grew apart because of the fight. I also get that it was very normal when the ex-bf got tired after taking care of her and needed a little break. However, they fought and what he said hurt Seok Ryu deeply. And for her, the relationship cannot be the same anymore, even if now Seok Ryu’s forgiven him. You know, in real life too, after getting hurt deeply, we might forgive, but we cannot reset our feeling as like before the heartbreak. So our feeling toward that person who wronged us changed. Sometimes, it’s not because we dont love them anymore, but because other factors like trust and affection, they aren’t there or as much anymore. So the ex bf is really over.
And I’m not worried about the rejection yo Choisseung, cz at this point it’s caused by Seok Ryu inferiority that things might not work out like how it did with the ex bf.
