  2. Good to see Jin Ki-joo back in action. I loved her work in From Now on Showtime, and she showed off her acting chops in this first episode.

    Jin Ki-joo portrays Baek Yoon-young.

    She made a strong impact w/ the following scene and lines…
    -Baek Yoon-young enters a room and says…
    -Mom (low followed by silence)
    -Mom! (little louder followed by silence)
    -Mom! (louder followed by silence)
    -Narrator (Baek Yoon-young): Have I ever even imagined a world w/out her
    -Mom! (followed by silence)
    -Mom! (followed by silence)
    -Narrator (Baek Yoon-young): When I say Mom, no one in this world can answer.

    I’m not going to elaborate any more than this because I don’t want to spoil the scene any more than I have. Watch this episode.

    This scene and Jin Ki-joo’s acting for this scene is worthy of an award. I felt the pain the character felt in the above scene. Jin Ki-joo brought her “A” game for this scene. It was excellent and powerful.

    The lines used for narration in the above scene are so true. Good observation and writing.

    Here in the US we celebrate Mother’s Day on 05.14.23. Appreciate your Mother because the majority of us will experience… When I say Mom, no one in this world can answer.

    Strong start to this series.
