  1. Ok, I feel like I need to say this and TRIGGER WARNING: drugging someone in order for them to have s**, whether it’s with the person doing the drugging or anyone else, is rape. What the servants (and the Queen Dowager, most likely) did was WRONG on so many levels. Yes, the King has an obligation to ensure a safe succession but that does not mean he stops being a human worthy of basic rights. I don’t care how much they worry about him or the kingdom, raping someone is never the answer to any problem! The King feels bad enough already as it is because of guilt, forcing him into something like that would definitely not help. Also, if he’s so bad in his job, why can’t they just replace him? The powers that be are obviously keeping him on the throne for a reason.

    1. I completely agree. I believe that we should always call out these shows when they try to normalize something that is very wrong. I know it’s a show and that it is fictional and because of that there will always be crazy shit that happens which is fun and exciting to watch. But we should always remember that this type of behaviour in real life is never ok and that we should never normalize it and become numb to it. Please always speak up when someone needs help.

    2. That’s exactly what i was thinking. I hate how casual they made it to be. I know this is a historical drama, so at that time it might not have been a very big deal, but regardless, It shouldn`t have been brushed of like NOTHING.
