Synopsis: A group of demon hunters called “Counters” come to earth in order to capture evil spirits. They work undercover at a noodle restaurant.

Seo Moon (Cho Byung Kyu) is a high school student and the youngest in the group. As a child, he had a mysterious car accident. His parents died in the accident, and he limps on his left leg after several operations.

Ga Mo Tak (Yoo Joon Sang) is a former police officer. 7 years ago he had an accident that caused him to lose his memory. His superpower is physical strength. He is Seo Moon’s mentor.

Do Ha-Na (Kim Se Jung) can sense evil spirits hundreds of miles away thanks to her super hearing ability. She can also read memories of others through touch.

Chu Ma Ok (Yeom Hye Ran) is the chef of the noodle restaurant. With her healing abilities, she is the emotional pillar of the group.

Choi Chang Mol (Ahn Suk Hwan) is the oldest in the group.  He is a living legend among the Counters in Korea. He is in charge of the group’s expenses.

  1. I don’t like “superheroes.” I like “villains” and pro-revenge themes that aren’t paid lip-service to and conveniently forgotten in the heat of a battle

    It’s taken as a given in fiction that “superheroes” are “moral,” but their moral compass doesn’t point in the right direction. “Saving lives?” That’s the last thing I’d want to do. People aren’t worth it. The way So Moon leered at Ha Na and introduced her as his “girlfriend” against her wishes? Fucking creep. I’d have kicked him in the nuts. The so-called “romance?” Irrelevant sub-plot that overtook the more interesting main plot. Raise your standards, Ha Na! And “he hurt innocent civilians?” Most people aren’t innocent. Learn to control your emotions, Gi Ran!

    What did I like here? The family dynamics. The troubled, mistreated, relatable characters that Hong Nae and Won Chang played. And the chemistry between Hong Nae, Won Chang, Byeong kyu and Joon Sang

    Note: it’s so-called “romance” in quotes because the genre shouldn’t be called “romance.” It should be called garbage. Love/romance is only between two men or two women. Whatever happens between a man and a woman is garbage. It should be thrown away

  6. It was World best Drama….. I am lucky enough to have spotted it ….. I’m desperately waiting for the season 2… season 2 Should have the same actors and with same character…it would be fun watching again ???? recommending all my viewers to watch The Uncanny counter

    I’m addicted to this drama even if the cast of this drama are not popular but the acting of every person is very good and also the stunt man is doing a good job?

  14. It was really absorbing serie. I wait all the episodes with excitement. I really like how they show all the feelings. You can feel the saddnes, thrill, happiness and all. You will cry sometimes and laugh also. Specially I like the Jo Byunggyu’s acting, it feels so real.
    I hope so many people will watch it…
