  3. I was just thinking, what if Ye Ji dies in the end? Like with some sort of illness or an accident. Therefore, the town brothers won’t have fight over one woman. Ye Ji would carry on their love for her in the afterlife. She would just be Hwan’s unrequited first love. And for Jin, he didn’t decide to marry Ye Ji because he loves her, he just thought that he needs to marry her, he just “decided to like her”, like what they said. Then, Jin would realize that he really loves Ye Ji after she’s already gone.

    If Ye Ji dies, she will be Jin’s “the one that got away”, and his last love. And Ye Ji will be Hwan’s forever and always, first love, and the untouchable woman in his heart. They will both love her at the same time, but in the silence of their longing for her.
