Synopsis: Liu Prima Paspimol is a young girl who has been bullied her whole life because of her appearance. In an attempt to start fresh at university, she undergoes plastic surgery with the goal of looking like a regular student. However, the surgery turns out to be ‘too successful’, making her incredibly beautiful and drawing unwanted attention when all she wants is to blend in and avoid being bullied. Furthermore, some people begin to mock her for having too many surgical alterations to her face and call her names for having artificial beauty.
Guy, the popular campus heartthrob who went to the same middle school as Prima and knows what she looked like before her cosmetic surgery, confronts her about it. He reveals that in middle school he had never held any contempt for Prima because of her looks, unlike many others.

Putting the title aside, I think the premise is a pretty universal concept and not something that only works in South Korean setting, since this type of surgery is accessible everywhere now and Thailand also one of the countries that has the highest percentage of plastic surgeries. And the female lead is supposed to be beautiful and not botched. In the webtoon she simply described appearing more mature after the procedure. I think it’s suitable to cast Baifern who is older than most of the cast to play the 18 years old character. like she is pretty but you can’t say she looks 18.

  4. Y’all might want to watch the teaser of Beauty Newbie that will appear in Find Yourself’s last episode tomorrow as you might get some new scenes there. I did that on Mr. Superstar Hit On Me and got some new scenes for P.S. I Hate You.

  5. I’m hearing from the last seconds of the trailer like “Kon nee tee chan ja mong talot bpai You’re my focus” so I guess the english title of the song will be (You’re My Focus) or (Focus) since GMMTV often make a song title like this.

  9. They said they will follow the story of the webtoon version and make it in a modern era. Watching the korean drama might increase your expectation in this one when it is completely different. You can try the webtoon and drama version if you want.❣️

This is a weird drama to adapt tbh while this did work for the korean audience because plastic surgery is a very common practice there and that’s ehy the og title “My id is gangam beauty” Because of Gangnam being the plastic surgery hub and the actress in the og drama looked like she had some work done while baifern doesn’t look like that. I do wanna know if they would change anything major from the og because the message for the og wasn’t executed well.

I’m so sorry this has nothing to do with beauty newbie but ok so we got news that this series will air, and 23.5 will be in March but no news on A love is so beautiful(dew and prims series) I don’t understand the insight entertainment because find yourself already aired but this series has issues? Hopefully does not aired too late or hopefully after 10 yr ticket rerun.

  15. I’m seated for this show. I am confirmed that Baifern can take any show to a next level just by her amazing acting! She looks great here and Win is a lovely addition by her side. Also, Great as second main lead and Janeyaah as a antagonist is going to be soo fun to watch!! Excited for this one!

  16. If I’m not mistaken, she’ll probably be the villain in this one, and the villain in this drama isn’t badass at all if it follows the original, but I don’t know if she’ll be the villain’s actress.
