1. I knew from the start that her mom would be a problem but I hoped that it was just temporary but nope she’s proving to be a massive headache. Why would she still be trying to make things work with a family who treated them like that. Also that boy is spineless and useless, Huan Huan will never know peace in that family cus they’ll treat her like trash and he will keep apologizing every time something happens just as he does now because he can’t think for himself smh

2. I had one thought through out that whole family dinner – can someone slap a btch. His sister is so bitter and jealous. She is married into a family where she is looked down upon, so all she can do is pass that same misery onto others. It’s a case of misery loves company. She got bitter the instant she realized her brother just might marry for love instead of connections like she did. I hope she gets her wish and the brother marries someone with connections and that person looks down on her and treats her the say she treated Huan’s family.
   Then I transferred that same thought to the Huan’s mother when first she started on the brother about getting a job, so she can show off, and then tried to pursued Huan to still go ahead with the wedding.

3. I am dying for more of xu kai’s appearance.. but all i get is their marriage drama. Which i am irritated of. It feels like xu kai has a side role.Please end their relation and get to real business mannn…i am so much frustrated now…if they expand more of eps with this guy only. Then this is gonna be worst frrr….

4. This storyline will be appreciated, understood and tolerated by those not affected by the cultural divide.
   For foreigners, especially not of this culture, it takes a bit of patience.

   For me, if a mother’s hangs her pride on whom her children gets married to… she’s got problems that’s not connected to the heart and soul of what it truly means to be an accepting parent. Wanting your childrens’ happiness should be the most important prayer/wish in your heart.
   After the whole dinner fiasco we see a humble daughter seeking forgiveness for offending her Mother with harsh words.
   We also see an unrelenting Mother, who would stop at nothing even if it means getting others involved financially.
   This just about rules out her “noble” speech about others looking down upon working class families.
   The “rich” family did not have money always, their hard work got them that “richness” she seems obsessed with.
   She keeps hounding the CEO to pay back her husband for saving her. It’s like she said, she’s been paying them back forever.
   This is another cultural diversity aspect, doing good deeds require no pay back… except thanks and gratitude. It’s not an unending lifetime of “pay back.”
   That taints the deed and rules out any good karma that would come your way.

   Putting pressure on your children to show how successful their life is based on financial status is unthinkable ❗
   The perfect example was already given….the God daughter married up, it ended with divorce and losing her son.
   Happiness comes to us in many ways, living comfortably is one of them, being secure is another….being financially secure and at the mercy of others is definitely not one of them! It’s like Zhiming said, they didn’t care about her dignity. That she would suffer for becoming one of them. She would always be the poor one who married up in that kind of family dynamics.
   The mean daughter should know her father is cheating, that should slap her down a few pegs!

   There’s so much more I would say about both families but this working class, happily married wife/mother/daughter is hungry ..time to eat! 💟

Honestly the FML’s Mom is pissing me off, you already know you don’t have the funds and it’s obvious the fiance’s family is looking down on you….why are you pushing for a wedding in your hometown??? To show off to people you no longer live with? Just create a souvenir from the wedding and send it to them. UGHHHHHHHHHHH

What happened was sad but she needed a wake up call…I mean her friend tried to tell her you are raising a son …yes he tried to stand up for them but if he was decisive the sister wouldn’t have said what she said …the mother needs to take a grip she’s basically pushing the daughter to choose unhappiness
