  1. Wow! Having read about Empress Ki, I already knew how the story was going to end. And even though this is a fictionalised account of the story, it’s my headcanon. The crazy part is that, I love how the story made us love Sungnyang and Wang Yu at the beginning, then it made us love Toghon Temur Khan (My Liege) and Sungnyang together halfway through the story and finally we end loving all three. Initially, I was angry at Toghon for killing Wang Yu but jealousy is what jealousy does.
    Toghon LOVED Sungnyang! To the point of unhealthy obsession. But, I love how he fought for her and wouldn’t hear jack when it came to her. And even though he fell to lies and deception by those around him that he trusted the most (ie Kolta), I love how he refused to let the letters and nightmares push her away from him. As much as I adore the actor that played Wang Yu, honestly speaking, Toghon’s actor (Ji Chang Wook) blew me away. I went from hating him in the first half of the drama, to mourning him at the end.
    Well done to the entire production team. Now, I understand why this drama is viewed as a classic alongside Dae Jang Geum (Jewel in the Palace). It deserves that title.

  2. cant stop crying . The Emperor loved Empress Ki deeply , but why kill Wang Yu so ruthlessly. I love how the Emperor always protected Nyang even when she was wrong. I will always respect Wang Yu, the discipline and self control is immense but such a sad ending .

  3. No doubt lady ki was an amazing woman but I really hoped she had end up with the Koryo king, as in the guy get sense and self control. Upon how much he loved her he still act normal and doesn’t let it affect his duty. But u see that emperor he is truly a puppet, someone like Saga from bbn.

    Though the emperor is handsome and he played his part not to let the movie get bored. I also admire all Wangyu’s men especially Bang he is quite a funny man.

    Uhnmmmm Batolu too is cool, even Tanqishi, Tanasiri. Oh my God i miss El Femur.

I never tired of watching this kind of Historical Drama even hundred times, the plot, setting, characters portrayal, the costumes…so love everything… Kudos to the actors and staff, writers , director and producer who sacrifice their sweat and blood just to deliver this kind of brilliant, breath-taking, captivating and wholly-emotional genre… What I’ve learned most were about power, money, struggles, regime, and fame are only just temporary. Still the greatest of all is LOVE… but too much love can also kill you…hehe, nope but kidding aside…What a great and spectacular lessons you can get from any Kdramas!..Honestly, you completed our days. Thank you and Stay healthy!

  8. This is the most satisfying drama I have ever watch. I was not into historical drama until empress ki. First empress Ki is an amazing women. To have the love of 2 amazing yet different guys to love you so deeply that they had to pay it with their lives is amazing. Giving birth on the run is empowering and to grieve the death of a child twice because he was not dead the first time require an intense amount of strength. I never got bored this show will keep you on the edge of your seat. I went back and watch it again and again. Yes people will say the emperor is a fool stupid idiot but he finally did something right he protected his son and empress Ki like a true leader of a family. Amazing show, amazing cast, my favorite actor Ji Chang Wook never disappoint

  11. Ugh! Why?! Worst drama ever! The Emperor kills Wang Yo but the girls is not the slightest mad. Wang yo is with that other girl with short hair. I wanted Wang yo with Empress Ki! I HATE the Emperor! He is cruel! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  15. very nice story tho it hurts and full of sadness but then how I wish tal tal live til end and always protect the empress coz I saw something in his eyes towards empress ki.perhaps he has unconditional love for empress ki?i hope there will be season for this drama same cast and atleast happy ending.im so fond of tal tal and sungnyang.
