  1. I’m glad they made a series of one of my favourite donghuas. But they’re already taking liberties with the script. Xiao Yan’s father is his biggest supporter, his family is not disgraced, just a little fallen in fortunes, and his mother was definitely not made a traitor. One of the things I love more about the story is that his family sticks by him through thick and thin, with his father even going as far as spending a huge fortune to give Xiao Yan a chance at recovering his strength. I don’t like how he’s being portrayed as a strict opponent. Let’s see what else they butcher in the story..

    1. It was an uncle or some other elder brother ho wants him out of the way and his father, as the patriarch, overrules him. So don’t take liberties with what’s been well done before you just to save on the casting

        1. Aaaaagh and that Yao Lao from the ring.. it’s total BS!! He wasn’t his master, they never met, Xiao Yan only acknowledges him as his master at this point, he never caused his mother’s misfortune, he’s not the moral idiot he’s being portrayed as, he took his energy because he was almost killed by his apprentice, his soul nearly obliterated, he’s a wise, well spoken man, and he’s definitely better looking than this moron
