    1. That’s actually the mentality of some Asian cultures regarding the beauty standards. I’ve heard that overweight people are having a hard time being accepted in Japan. Most Japanese brands apparently doesn’t widely acknowledge overweight people. I’ve seen a video that showed the clothing stores in Tokyo which sells plus size clothes but all of them had ridicilous, offensive and fatphobic store names, like something begins with cows etc. I don’t understand this mentality. And Tomita Miu, the main actress is far from being ugly, she’s very pretty. And it’s a bit of a cliché but beauty is subjective anyway.
