  6. As a widow, Yeo Hwa cannot leave her home and has to mourn her late husband day and night. However, she often sneaks out at night and helps people in trouble by disguising herself as a man behind a black mask. One day, she hears that Kkot Nim, the little servant she adores, was taken for her father’s debts. She goes to the inn where Kkot Nim is and sees Officer Park trying to take her by force.

  10. what I didn’t understand was that, according to her, she never saw her husband, and then her sister in law said that to her mum that she should’ve kicked her out when the brother brought her….so if the her husband brought her to the house, how come she didn’t see him??? 🤔🤔🤔

  12. Good start with a lot of hints at mystery…Honey Lee is just so talented so i`d watch it for her alone..

    I`m not a fan of the chaste widow trope but maybe they can make this fresher than other dramas.. its 12eps so i expect it will be quite fast paced

  13. Officer Park, the king, lord Seuk, MIL (veteran actress, just love this woman, she fits in comfortable in any role!) and widow DIL with her maid were the main suspects in this first episode to make me want to watch on.

  16. ⚠ Spoilers Ahead!

    Whee Hee! Another sageuk and back to back too, well almost, since the last one was only partly sageuk. Moreover, Lee Ha-Nee is in it. She is one of my favorites, she has nice dimples. She displayed deft martial arts moves, including balls-banging with her folding fans.

    However, the choice of Ha-Nee as the female lead was strange as the male lead is much younger, by about 12 years. Weird! Is there going to be a romantic relationship between them? Maybe Park Soo-Ho likes the ‘noona’ type.

  17. living as a poor miserable widow bc of a husband she never even met is wild, but at least its her choice, she can really fight and she has life skills, so if she decides to run away she’ll be fine

  21. What women had to put up with back in the day and still in some places in this age. Mourning for the rest of your life for a man you never met is ridiculous, and thats preferential to killing yourself just to be seen as ‘chaste’. What is the end goal here? I can’t see her abandoning everything and everyone she knows to escape her current life and romance must be out of the question for women in her position….

  23. Love the plot. She is like the lady Robin H00d. Her father-in-law seems suspicious though. But is there supposed to be romance between her and the young officer? I never expected sageuk to involve such a huge age gap but if there will be romance between them, I’m really looking forward to it.
