Synopsis: Jeon Nok Du (Jang Dong Yoon) is the son of a noble family. With looks, brains, and athletic abilities, he is the epitome of perfection. He is not happy that his family has arranged for him to marry a young girl and runs away from home. He disguises himself as a woman and goes to a village of widows. There, he meets Dong Dong Joo (Kim So Hyun), a prickly apprentice to become a gisaeng. Dong Dong Joo has a bright personality who always speaks her mind. She does not want to become a gisaeng, but has no choice. One day, Jeon Nok Du rescues Dong Dong Joo from a dangerous situation.

  3. I still can’t get over to this drama, I have watched it 4x but still can’t compare to other drama. I really love the plot of the story, no boring scene, every episode is interesting. I love the chemistry of both actors, Kim So hyun and Jang Dong Yoon, they portrayed their characters so good and hoping that they will end up together in the future.

I love this drama, it’s so breath taking and amazing.I love the happy ever after thing However,I think we all deserve a part for it to be more thrilling,where the Father clears up the son’s name and they kill the guy who’s been plotting all those treacherous doings.And everyone loves in peace, something like that.

  9. In my nonprofessional, humble opinion, I categorize this drama as an epic. As a usual viewer, I’m holding my breath for the ending. A comment has already been given that Nokdu will not become the next king – sooo I’m assuming history will bear out that the evil, evil prince, whatever he is, will ascend the throne. Writers, directors, the outcome aside, you must be ecstatic that the 2 leads have made your story come alive. They must be awarded to the max!!

  17. Just be aware episode 7 (13 and 14) are the wrong way around, not sure if was broadcast like that. Makes a lot more sense if you watch it in order- start watching at 35:51 then go back to the beginning for the second half 🙂

  33. I see this synopsis in a lot of places. A better one would explain that he’s not running away from marriage but disguising himself as a woman to track down the boss of the female assassins that were sent to kill him to find out why
