Synopsis:

Cheng Yao, who dreamt of becoming a lawyer, was recruited by a top lawyer firm. Hence, she decides to move to an apartment closer to her workplace. However, Cheng Yao did not expect to have a housemate, whom she could not get along with. The person turns out to be her new boss, Qian Heng. Qian Heng recruited her into his team, and began his monstrous training. His aim was to chase away Cheng Yao, whom he thought got into the company by relations. Cheng Yao does not know why she landed in this situation, and decides to work harder. She showed great performance in the midst of training, changing Qian Heng’s impression toward her. Slowly, they begin to develop feelings for each other, and entered a happy marriage. Cheng Yao also becomes a qualified lawyer.

Because , he is desperate, first time being in love, so he doesn’t know how to control his feelings and he fears CY might reject him if he continues to be mean to her.He is a wise man.Wait until they gets married,he will then lay down the law.He will continue to be kind but he will be strict in some ways.As for me,I would advise CY to join her mother in law business since she is a nice lady and stay out of the law firm, because QH has a hot temperament .

  4. what love triangle? Bao Rui? that’s goofy : he only loves money. Jun? He only loves Cheng Yao’s sister. The female lawyer who will be a new addition to team, perhaps: she will have to toe the line, since Qian Heng’s heart is “spiky like durian” ; only Cheng Yao can enjoy the sweetness and we don’t have enough episodes to see the other lawyer grow in power in the firm or with Qian Heng family which is already considering wedding their son to Cheng Yao.
    Don’t worry, I am at episode 27, btw, and despite some misgivings in some early episodes where I looked on, as if it was slapstick comedy, I find the romance got better, although I may have to give up on ZRN being able to perform more than barely adequate kisses, in spite of her sweet wide eye stares. But it is ok when it is not close-ups. CXX is excellent of course.
    And the evil brother-in-law is going to get a nasty defeat in court, after Cheng Yao’s trick: quite satisfactory!
    Go on with confidence, then. How QH&CY got from step A to step Z is actually fun and sweet!

  9. Finally an ep that’s sweet enough to make you feel so single, lol
    Gotta envy Cheng Yao, she gets a complete package, a smitten & doting handsome ML with a hilarious & adorable MIL, that too with a brightest career & future ahead 😂
    I see improvement on CY’s side, she learn to show her affection more & grow a backbone to be a better lawyer, so I feel content w/ this ep 🥰

  12. It said ML and FL are Vengo Gao and Yang Zi, that’s wrong! It suppose to be CHEN XING XU and ZHANG RUO NAN.
    Second things are…. WHY IT’S SO SLOW to put the English sub? This is the HOT DRAMA for the moment, usually the hot dramas will get the Eng-Sub right away. Maybe because the ML and FL is wrongs ?
    Please fix it. That so many series without the Eng-Sub already, almost half of it.

  17. i can’t literally stop thinking about this drama because its so damn good (im even watching everything with broken subtitles).

    firstly, this drama is so funny. the female lead expressions are quite hilarious to me & the male main lead is the same.. even tho, he’s kinda cold right now, we can see he already has a soft spot for her & he’s funny, especially in ep13. sometimes I feel kinda bored in other dramas, when they focus on other things, but its not happening with this drama! i do like to see whole lawyer plot, even tho she looks quite unexperienced, he’s always making efforts to teach her 🙁 so cute!! its very rare for me to like both main leads in one drama, but I love both the main lead and female lead here!

    I do prefer if they follow this slow paced build up of their relationship rather than have a breakup near the end of the drama.

  20. I thought it is just me but I also find these too perfect for each other visual wise( not sipping them) I thought he looks great with zhang jingyi but with ruonan he looks even better. They look different. Just like zhao lusi and Chen zheyuan also their looks seem to suit each other.
    I hope Cheng Yao changes her hairstyle in upcoming episodes

  22. And why did they delete the morning part where he sees her opened button and feels something something and goes for a cold shower in the morning. And then during the entire journey they bicker like a old married couple.🤦🏼‍♀️
