  1. Y’all should just rest. I’m in Nigeria and there are villages here that look like that and don’t have clean water, even lekki in Lagos doesn’t have clean water y’all be acting like they committed a crime abet get out and let people enjoy the drama.

  2. I am also an African myself..but let’s be honest, they didn’t lie. There are some people who are still living like that in Africa today.Whether they portray the poor parts or rich parts of our continent, its still Africa.Let’s not be too offended that they chose to portray the poor parts of it,we can’t tell people to choose which parts of it they want to focus on.Even India is sometimes portrayed as a very poor country having kids with malnutrition but you don’t hear the people making a fuss about it.Let’s just ignore it and enjoy the drama, and most people know that Africa has other amazing parts..its their duty to do a research,we can’t always get worked up everytime it happens

    1. Wht makes me mad is they only portray the bad parts. Im not going to lie, i know we have parts tht are like tht but when u constantly keep showing tht to ur audience they only think of as poor and malnourished. Thts how we’re seen in other parts of the world. Indians also complain about how they’re portrayed too so lets not act like its only africans complaining about this. Its not fair to always be portrayed like this, some people are just tired of the representation we’re given. They act like we don’t know anything.

  3. My problem is, why are they referring to Africa like it’s a damn country. Just say where in Africa he volunteered. It’s like saying ” I volunteered in asian” everytime. It’s annoying

  4. For the people saying “it’s just a drama chill “,these little thing are the one’s that’s making this kind of view spread. And why would they even portrait the whole continent like some fre**ing village ,besides there are many people who doesn’t get basic needs all over the world so if they have that much big heart and willingness to help, they better help poor people from there country and stop acting like they have it all.

  5. I think the sentiment on how they portray the African scene is overrated. We have all seen movies from other countries where they shoot scenes from the poorest part of their countries that seems more pathetic and unbelievable that you question their real existence. I guess what I’m trying to say is that, there’s that tiny poorest part of each country no matter how developed or undeveloped they get. We see them in movies. So this does nothing to Africa but only shows the tacky works of a research.

  6. I just wanted to say, stop it with that africa’s shit,i’m an African and it doesn’t offense me a bit,and since i’m one i do realize that not all africa is the same of what they describe in this drama and not only in this drama but in a thousands of movies and series that are out there,we’re a modern society if we do want to know a real information we’ll look for it,even google it,or if we’re rich we’ll visit the country, stop with those stupid comments ,it’s just that the writer didn’t do much research before writing it down, and even if u’re upset, that won’t make the company delete a whole drama for that mistake that lost not even 20 mn in the whole drama, and let’s be honest, why would they care,of some audience who’re are not even watching their drama on a legal website,we’re here to enjoy some moments of this imaginary drama, thank u for ur understanding, and stopping commenting over and over again ’bout africa ,thank u .??️

  7. Y’all should just rest. I’m in Nigeria and there are villages here that look like that and don’t have clean water, even lekki in Lagos doesn’t have clean water y’all be acting like they committed a crime abet get out and let people enjoy the drama.

  8. Don’t watch it if y’all don’t like the way they did it. They meant no harm. You should be grateful that people are thoughtful enough to include your continent in their drama. Nobody said that Africa is this and that. Y’all are ruining the drama for those who love it. I don’t even think people thought of Africa that way but when you guys mentioned it now we all know.

    1. @RINA BE GRATEFUL!!!! YOU KIDDING RIGHT, what’s so big about them portraying our continent like that, and WHAT, we should be happy coz they portrayed us like that! PURE NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We’d rather not be mentioned at all if it means being portrayed wrongly. It’s not like we gain anything from being mentioned especially if it’s the wrong presentation of our Home. MAYBE NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU POST A COMMENT LIKE THAT THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU DO IT COZ YOU MORE INSULTING THAN THE SITUATION ITSELF, WE NEED NO PITY FROM YOU! PERIOD!

      1. calm down its not like theyre trying to offend us africans purposely but i do. agree with the fact they could have done it in a better way or not at all.

  9. 3 episodes in and people are still commenting about the Africa representation, to the people that have a problem with the way its portrayed in the first episode, watch the drama, or don’t, please let others enjoy the drama if they wish to without having to see the same comments left after every episode, ty kindly.

    1. Stop being so arrogant, there is a reason why we speaking up and dude if you don’t like it that’s your own problem you could just keep ignoring the comments, but this kind of arrogance is the reason why we will always speak up coz it just needs to stop. Many people ignore because it’s not them being misrepresented but maybe if you were in our shoes you’d probably do the same, so before shushing us up try put yourself in our shoes, and maybe then you’ll understand

      1. bro ive been thorught stuff like that nd i just ignored it. Thats how the world works not everything is gonna be whatever u want and JUST SHUT UP and stop ruining ppl’s mood

  10. I hope ppl would just understand how ppl think of us Africans but i can’t say i hate the drama but i hope this doesn’t happen again cause I’m tired of ignorant human beings.

  11. Africa is not a country maybe they were unaware of that at least could they not try to make us look extremly poor i know yes some countries have issues but if they wanted to make awareness about some problems they should have done it properly.i still love the drama the african scene is not the whole dramA SO I AM FINE

  12. Has anyone have a problem with watching this episode as it’s going to fast that I can’t hear what they r saying? I want it to be normal
    What do I do?

  13. There’s one thing i hate about this drama and that is their view of Africa and the fact that they think Africa is a country despite of it being a continent and i don’t understand how a grown man goes to a certain country in Africa Acts like he’s pitiful and doesn’t even know the countrys name he went to. We Africans don’t need their so called pity when they don’t know nothing about Africa and they should stop saying the whole continent is poor I’m so disappointed in this drama. At least if they could have studied about Africa before doing this drama it would have been good but they didn’t despite their grown up age.

    1. omg, see the whole world’s view on Africa is it is a very underdeveloped country and not ‘poor’ and there they didn’t want to point out a certain country from Africa since viewers might feel rage. So they might have only told the location in general. Nobody says it’s poor, it’s just underdeveloped.

      1. no one refutes the fact that Africa is underdeveloped. We live in it so we know. Trust me, we do! A lot of us are fans of kdrama even though kdrama history with black characters has been quite poor. We’re just disappointed that after all these years when we thought we had made great strides in showing our pride in our African culture and in our various countries they would choose to portray us as poorly as they’ve just done. there’s no hate for the actors or writers. i just wish they’d portray our stories better in the future. Anyways that’s just my opinion and i’m not gonna say i wont watch the movie anymore. They should do better next time. That’s all.

      2. Eh what? Not every country in Africa is underdeveloped?? Like, for example, North Africa: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia…
AND some countries in Africa are in fact poor. There is nothing wrong with using that word.

        1. Why do ppl only think of north african and south Africa countries as the only developed countries in Africa

      3. Firstly Africa is a continent not a country and just because your view on why or what u think about Africa doesn’t mean other ppl think the same of what you think and Africa is not entirely undeveloped bro and i know there are poor countries in Africa but the mostly shown places of Africa on tv are the poor places while they mostly show luxurious places of other countries in other continent and i don’t know why you guys always support them like everything is right and I’m sure if you ask all the population on earth except Africa 85 percent of them will likely think that Africa is poor. I’m also sure that if you ask a Korean to name at least five countries in Africa more than 70 percent of them don’t even know more than two which is mainly south Africa and congo and pls Koreans who meet African for the first time always describe Africa as a country and not a continent and they think we are undeveloped. Stop this especially if you’re not us and u’ll never understand what it feels like to be judged as an African

      4. @zehrin There you go again, ITS’S NOT A COUNTRY DUDE! IT’S A FREAKIN’ CONTINENT, And just for the record African countries are very much developed, not like other more developed countries but just the way they potray Africa as a whole just aint true at all. And people should take time to actually research first before making certain conclusions and generalising a hole freakin’ continent. Just like evry other country there are rich people, middle class and poor people, African countries are just the same, they consist of all three categories but ya’ll out there just be arrogant thinking we live on trees, dress in animal skin, walk barefoot, die of hunger and stuff that’s a stereotype myth, for heaven’s sake we have houses, roads, technology, shoes and plenty plenty plenty of resources, to be more clear we have everything ya’ll have . If you not African you wouldnt understand why we’re saying what we saying coz many of ya’ll just like being arrogant, but the bottomline is that we need to say it because it’s a wrong representation of our Continent and even if you think it’s not a big deal, well to us it is, it’s very much an insult and we would appreciate to be potrayed well not the steroutypical way, and the reason we so angry is because its not the first time, every hollywood movie, kdrama does the same thing, its a never ending cycle and it just needs to freakin’ STOP! So before you start shushing us up, take a moment to just read about Africa, and maybe try understand where we coming from and put yuselves in our shoes first before condemning us for speaking out

      5. They prob said africa cos its one continent which is talked abt the most cos there are so many other places which are worse

      1. I JUST WANT TO SAY ITS NOT JUST AFRICA THERE ARE OTHER COUNTRIES BUT IN KDRAMAS ITS MOSTLY AFRICA.I HAVE BEEN THROUGH STUFF LIKE THAT AND I M NOT FROM ANY COUNTRY FROM AFRICA. IT MAKES ME ANGRY HOW PPL ONLY TALK ABT HOW BAD AFRICA IS TREATED LIKE THERE ARE OTHER COUNTIES (SO MANY MUSLIMS ARE PHYSICALLY TREATED BADLY) so please stop saying its just africa.

    3. Honestly I’m disappointed as well and right at this age and time where people are trying to be respectful of peoples cultures and ethnicity. Ignorance is no longer an excuse a single google search would have solved all these.

    4. Bro not every1’s pov abt africa is bad in this drama. its prob just some ppl. Its not the whole drama

    5. bro is like saying “I’m going to travel to europe” or “i’m going to study in europe”, it’s the most normal scene ever, saying the continent instead of specifying the country. I’m not seeing any problem. They didn’t say Africa was this or that, calm down
