  2. mannnn Ruoyao is such a loser I can’t even bear to watch. I know woe is her and she’s been indoctrinated with all these thoughts and ideals by her mother from a young age and all that, but she doesn’t have ANY critical thinking skills⁉️⁉️ and she’s letting that LOSER man take advantage of her like that⁉️⁉️ I know they say love is blind but it can’t be THAT blind. She’s not even second guessing Yu’e and her intentions even after she was caught in bed with her man???

    Even after she defended Jiang Li and I thought she was finally seeing the light, Ruoyao is still blaming her for everything that’s happened to her…. Girl… at your grown age… be SO FR. Ruoyao plotted against Jiang Li first and suddenly bc Jiang Li defends herself, she’s the bad guy??? Ruoyao annoys me so much with her stupid baby voice and silly mannerisms😭

    Onto a lighter note…. JIANG LI SLEPT AT DUKE SU’S PLACE😫SHE SAID SHE WAS TIRED AND HE GAVE HER A PLACE TO SLEEP😫 AND SHE SLEPT THERE BECAUSE SHE TRUSTS HIM AND IS COMFORTABLE IN HIS PRESENCE😫 AND HE WATCHED HER SLEEP… THE WHOLE TIME🫦🫦AND he gave her a whistle to help her whenever she’s in trouble😫he is such a lover boy oml. I need them to get married immediately.

    That last scene with Duke Su having his fan under Xue’s chin while she was smiling was so romantic.

  9. Aunt Hu’s appearance, we now know there was an eldest Jiang daughter. She was the concubine before Father Jiang married Ye ZhenZhen (Jiang Li’s mother) as the wife. Aunt Hu’s child was the first born.
    If a concubine’s son were born first, it could create conflicts over succession and inheritance, leading to disputes and instability within the family. Thus, they wanted to abort the foetus but the wife (Ye ZhenZhen) begged the Jiang family to permit the concubine to bore the child. Fortunately, the 1st child turned out to be a girl. Nonetheless, the concubine was grateful to Ye.

  11. I am only here for Duke Su, I hope this actor finds a good FL in the future he is getting so much better at his acting.
    I’m just so bored of these FL acting the same in all the dramas, acting like Jesus helping everyone but themselves, you think I would be in the same predicament I was in the first ep. i have the one and only DUKE SU by my side and i still can’t defend myself GTFOH. i will wait this one out this ep got me frustrated. writers are disappointing me.

RY has a clay head inspite all the lies that man told her she still trust and support him in view of getting married! none can save her if she wants to fall into pit! glad she cleared JLs name for now! OMG duke u r ready to meet after each disaster and this time she is so relaxed and even took a nap while he was gawking at her! poor YSJ finally gets he doesnt have a chance with her!

  14. At this point, I don’t care how stupid the plot/attack is. I just want Duke Su and Jiang Li on the same screen at some point. I’ll gladly sit through an hour of illogical arguments.

    Also, I have always wondered why Jiang Li was the Second Legitimate daughter when her mother was the first wife (and no older siblings). Thanks for answering that ep. 26.

    This makes me question the father more! Like I get him not seeing through the “your daughter is jealous I am preggers and pushed me down the stairs act” (Ji shuran probably had ‘witnesses’), but then before that another daughter of his drowned and his previous (insane) concubine goes missing randomly after Jiang Li is sent away? Nothing seemed sus?

    But that being said, I have seen irl cases where men can’t clock women’s real intentions, especially when it comes from someone they trust. My father didn’t believe my mother’s version of my grandmother for decades until he finally saw it himself.

  15. Can’t rest peacefully at the Jiang’s house, might as well sleep with at the Duke’s 🌹🤭🥰
    How does she sleep in such a pretty position tho 💮🌸💮? My back would be screaming for a chiropractor but as long as Xiao Heng enjoyed watching her show that’s what counts😉. And the man just sits there and watches every moment of it… *tingles all over*. Find someone in your life who looks at you the way the Duke looks at Xue~🔥🪭

    Compared to the other men in this drama, can I just say how much I appreciate the way Xiao Heng’s character is shown in stark contrast? He truly is no ordinary man of this era who just imposes his will over a woman: he never tries to control her, never treats her as a damsel in distress, and truly gets excited by her brainpower, charm, compassion and toughness. At the same time he wants to protect her even more, so he gives her a whistle that she can call on him whenever SHE needs him.He’s watching from behind, but the power still lies firmly in her hands at all times.He 100% knows he will never find a more outstanding woman than Xue and she has won the lottery to fall into his incredibly capable hands. I’ve become quite greedy for their moments together now 🥰🥰🥰

  19. Duke Su, I don’t mind to be your chess piece too😜 Those wicked women plotting evil against Jiang Li at every turn are really so annoying. But I am glad Jiang Li over-turns their schemes each time and that in this drama, the suffering of the female lead is upfront, at the beginning of drama!

  28. How does Jiang Li’s father not notice how manipulative his wife is. She said she sent her daughter to do some shopping and her daughter did not meet Jiang Li, (which was later proven to be a lie). When Jiang Li asked for her sister to speak for herself, instead of sending her servant to fetch her sister, Ji Shuran went herself and took a while. When Jiang Li asked her sister to tell the truth or to say anything for the matter, Ji Shuran accused Jiang Li of pressuring her daughter and tried to have her servant send her daughter away. If Jiang Li’s father still doesn’t understand that his wife wanted Jiang Li to be wrongly blamed for hurting the man who tried to rape her then he is an idiot and doesn’t deserve to be in government.
