Synopsis: Ming Lan (Zhao Liying) is the 6th child of the Sheng House. Although she is very intelligent and beautiful, she has a tough childhood. Her family (step-mother and half-sisters) never shows love towards her, and she quietly tolerates their attitude. She learns to hide her skills and hopes to avenge for her biological mother’s demise.

By chance, she meets Gu’s second son, Gu Tingye (Feng Shaofeng), who initially dislikes her, but as he gets to know her more, he falls in love with her. When Tingye becomes a powerful public official, he makes Ming his wife. With her wisdom, she starts helping her husband manage the new King’s regime. Together they live a happily-ever-after life as a power couple.
