  1. They’ve changed a lot of things like the time of appearance of the harp weapon and the crossbow and longsword weapon. Then there’s also the jade bracelet which supposed to be in the first item to appear was supposed to guide her in her mission. These are the things that didn’t sit well with me as they are key weapons for the ending and then they just immediately appeared in the first episode. Another one is about the bandits. They were real in the novel who were hired by a rival noble family. Then there’s their first meeting. It was not on the frozen pond but it was when Tantai Jin went looking with the family servants for Ye Xiwu.
    There’s a manhwa adaptation of this and it followed closer to the novel. You might want to read it if you’re curious. Same title as the drama adaptation (the illustration is beautiful btw ?).

    But these changes won’t discourage me to continue watching as I’m curious about how this drama will proceed with things being changed. And it’s still different when it’s performed by real people right?

  5. If anyone gonna say “the male lead is so skinny” first let me say in the original story, the guys is supposed to be skinny because of his background in the story, if u watch in u will know. Anyways enjoy. I’ve watched to ep 8 alr and I really love it. One of my fav Chinese drama
