  5. i really hope there’s a second season… i read that the ratings were great and the book it was inspired by has good content for the second season, it wouldn’t be as action packed as the first but it would have what the public wants most, which is to see them happy together, please guys, comment that you want a second season in all the official youku videos that you see on youtube

  10. Such a great cast and everything but this was such a big dissapointment towards the end. I was so confused at the end. Nothing was explained. We didn’t get to see tantai jin clear his name or be happy after being tortured for years. Seriously such a let down.

    1. Uhh that was the point.. I heard that the novel this series is adapted from doesn’t have a happy ending either. As for the explanation in the end, TTJ left a part of her consciousness in that Heart guarding scale just like Ming Ye did ten thousands years ago. This definitely feels sad but he needed to die.

  13. i watched 40 episodes of his suffering just for an ending like this? Couldn’t the writers at least give him a break in the end? I’m so disappointed at how they treated his character, disappointed!

  17. can someone explain me the ending please? WTF? He killed himself and now can’t reappear? Then why was all the trouble to make her kill him when he did it himself? What he lied about? Where did she awake? What was the story about the tombs? Really, I’m totally perplexed…

    1. Okay, I’ll try my best.
      She woke at the point when she screamed while taking the lightning, she basically ascended at that point.
      All-in-distress started to stop when she kissed him, I think it’s because of her power and he was started to get destroyed from within.
      But do you remember, even when Ming Ye stopped the All-in-distress by killing the Demon God, but the evil bone remained? Ming Ye couldn’t destroy the evil bone. Demon Lord from then told Ming Ye that as long as the bone remains he’d come back most certainly. Evil bone was the key to revive the Demon Lord.
      TTJ understood that as long as the bone remain Demon Lord could come back again and there’s no way by any means others can destroy it. It could only be him, that he could destroy the evil bone and be perished as well.
      Li Susu said that if there was no Demon Lord then there’d be no need for a God either and that she could die together with him. In front of her face TTJ couldn’t deny her and accepted her wish. But the thing is he never accepted it. He didn’t want Susu to die so in the last moment he used the Heart Guarding Scale and infused it into Susu’s body. Thus the Scale protected Susu and TTJ was perished.
      He also infused some of his cognition into the Heart Guarding scale just like Ming Ye did ten thousands years ago. That is what was shown in the last scene.
      As for the tombs, when Ye Xiwu died TTJ made a tomb for her. He put another blank one next to it for himself for when he dies in the future. Fast forward to five hundred years and to the point before he was going to marry Susu again as Demon Lord, he came to Jing Tomb hall, changed his attire from that of a Demon God to TTJ. Then wrote his own name on the blank tomb implying that he knew he’d surely die this time and wanted to finish this last job. He went back and married Susu and the rest as follows. After his death Susu ended up in that Tomb place somehow, saw both the tombs and cried.

          1. yeah but how does that work we only see that girl after 500 year timeskip so its one of the two?

            1.that girl is more than 500+ year old and still looks like 8 years old but that doesn’t make sense as even if they are immortal she would grow up after that long

            2.that girl was recently born meaning he is there to do his deed
