Synopsis:

Curious about his uncle’s past, Wu Xie watched a mysterious videotape, only to find himself mixed up in an elaborate conspiracy. In his adventures, he encountered Zhang Qi Ling, Xie Yu Chen, and others. The 6 people with different motives decided to band together. Zhang Qi Ling lost his memory by accident. The group discovered the Zhang family’s old manor held the answers they sought. However, they were stopped in their tracks by Qiu De Kao’s forces. Later, thanks to an ancient Lei family blueprint, Wu Xie became acquainted with Madam Huo of the Jiumen Sect. At her suggestion, the group embarked on a tomb raid which the Jiumen Sect had attempted many years ago in search of the truth. Unfortunately, Wu Xie was severely injured during the journey while Zhang Qi Ling went missing, leaving the mystery unsolved. Xie Yu Chen suggested Wu Xie disguise as his uncle, but Wu Xie was hesitant.

  1. In my opinion, I loved this drama so much. Recommended to people who like actors and the adventure themed dramas. The story is picked from various amazing novels, so you can enjoy it. Honestly I still can’t overcome finishing the drama so soon, it’s really stuck in my brain.

  2. This is the worst book adaptation I have ever seen, you can watch at your own risk, and in the end you will want to toss the director off a cliff and ask questions later, whoever subbed this, thank you and I feel you deserve better

    1. Nahh in my opinion this is one of the best. The worst adaptation is the explore with the note. Gosh sorry the wuxie actor is really bad for me.

      2. I agree that Ultimate Note and Lost Tomb 2 are both great. Only Lost Tomb 2: Explore with Note had poor casting/acting for Wu Xie.

        I have a question about this series though. In Ultimate Note, Wu Xie seems to only recognize Xie Yu Chen (Xiao Hua) after a long time since their childhood, but the drama set (Lost Tomb 2) shows that they have already been familiar with each other. Same thing with Black Sunglasses (Hei Yanjing) because Hei Yanjing seems to have met Wu Xie for the first time in Ultimate Note — it seems like the order of the story is mixed up in these two aspects. Can you enlighten me so I can undertand if it was just TV show director’s choice or is it a plot loophole? Thanks.
