  1. First, I feel bad for Yuan since San Pang brought up his “secret” suddenly like that. I know Qian trusted San Pang enough to share Yuan’s sexuality to him, but still that must have shocked Yuan. It’s two things at once after all: Yuan liking men, and Yuan liking Qian. Second, maybe not worse compared to Qian but Yuan had a tough life too. And he’s not lying about suffering by himself and keeping those feelings to himself. Although San Pang is right about Yuan getting hurt, it’s also true when Yuan said that it is his business alone. [San Pang was right that Yuan took ~”direct”~ action indeed but that was later after the first confrontation.]

I understand San Pang is meddling and thinking defensively on Qian’s behalf because Qian is slow but he invalidated Yuan’s suffering and lowkey blaming Yuan. If San Pang heard Yuan when he said “It’s so tiring to like someone you shouldn’t like.” and “You think I wanted this? It hurts me. I’m suffering.“, will San Pang still be able to face Yuan so easily?

I don’t mind San Pang confronting Yuan but honestly he’s such a bad explainer. He’s not convincing at all. 😭 I know it can be hard to explain things, but he was straightforward when he talked to Qian and when he confronted Yuan, but now that it’s gotten to this point of chaos, he’s suddenly hesitating. When he keeps answering “Because he’s Wei Qian” to Yuan, I feel like a teacher grading a student’s essay with a comment “Explain further. Explain further! Explain further!!!!!” 😭 When San Pang said “What’s right with this?” then Yuan replied “What’s wrong with this?“, and ooooooof no clapback from San Pang so Yuan gets the debate point.

He probably doesn’t want to hurt Yuan with words any further, but isn’t it too late for that? Or is it because he himself doesn’t have an absolute reason as to why Yuan can’t like Qian so he can’t find the words?

Sorry, San Pang, all I can blame for everything is you, even if it’s not your fault. I admit I’m a little biased to Yuan and Qian. 🤣 Anyway, this is probably one of the few times I am very grateful that things went TOO FAST in an episode. If they drag it out it longer, I’m not sure if I can’t take it. They didn’t even show much about EP7 teaser, they really want me to die I guess.

Special mention to Yuan hugging Lili, and that bracelet on the knob omg brb I’m gonna cry again. 🥲

  2. What should i do with that 2 sentence preview….Poor baiby Yuan was in too much pain…i can’t wait enough for the budding romance to blossom.

  3. We knew this was going to be the PAIN ep especially when it starts with the caption EP. 6 – “I forgot to say goodbye, does that mean we’ll meet again?”😭💔😭

I’m not even going to bother writing SPOILER WARNING bc we knew this was coming🙈… THAT WAS SO PAINFUL TO WATCH!😭 The build up to that closet, confession scene. I was dreading it. I knew it was coming when Qian started looking for him at the party, I was anxious, and my heart was racing💓😓… So a fever, and awful misperceived circumstances of gaining a future stepmom caused that drunken, rash, desperate, PAINFUL and frantic love confession🫣 I literally felt his heart break into a million pieces bc I was right there with him suffering in the fetal position😭💔 Pass the tissues, please🤧 Qian was so harsh, cold, cruel and distant. And the way Yuan kept looking after him, texting about his meds, etc even after the epic fail/ rejection🥺 I wish Qian would have acted maturely but I get it, he was shocked even tho he knew underneath it all what the truth was for a while😏 Ugh, and the way Yuan kept asking Pang, “Why can’t I like Qian?”, over and over again. Btw I’m still bawling over here😭 Pick my heart and Yuan’s heart off the floor, please🙏
Also poor Lili caught in the middle of all that, not even knowing and understanding all the details of what happened to her brothers… The goodbye bracelet on the door… You could just sense how empty they all felt after Yuan left😔

The fact that Qian couldn’t face Yuan speaks volumes. He wasn’t ready to deal with the reality of both their feelings. Good Pang, pointed out that Qian is slow about these things, matters of the heart. It gives us hope for their future love. But please process your feelings sooner rather than later, Qian📢🙏
“The sixth kind of family PRETENDS to be strong and doesn’t say goodbye”. Imo masking his true feelings in the process😭 Now if only Qian, could articulate his words in a way that didn’t PAINFULLY alienate Yuan😭 (I’m still SO invested in this love story❣️)

P.S. No mistake, Pang was meddling in their affairs. I didn’t like his condescending tone towards Yuan about what he could offer Qian and if he even knew what he was doing. That really rubbed me the wrong way, especially at the opening scene. Now that both Yuan and Qian have told him to back off, I hoped he would. He said his piece and a true friend would take a step back and respect their wishes after that😏… All of them indirectly dismissing Yuan’s feelings bc he’s just a “kid” also bothered me. I felt so badly for him, no one to hug him or objectively guide him through those feelings.

The icy reception Yuan gave Ning – if looks could k ill👀😅 I loved when Qian, boldly and directly said, let’s keep business and personal matters separate, for the second time👏 BRAVO for that! And I absolutely loved that Ning turned out to be as decent as she appeared to be last ep. Let’s hope she stays like that🙏

  4. Okay San Pang, really, go f*** off (like I’m in my feelings right now so yeah, f*** off SP). In this ep. he overstepped all the boundaries like dude, haven’t you heard of the phrase “mind your own business” 😠 So what did San Pang do:
    1) He entered ZY’s bedroom when the latter said “No, not now”…like why
    2) He went o to open his mouth anyway when Zhiyuan said “Not now”. It was obvious ZY just wanted time to himself so why berate him.
    3) He outed Zhiyuan about liking Qian and for me, that was the last straw. Like the way he went about it was all wrong. Instead of offering ZY the emotional support he obviously needed he offered deterrent 🙄. Not once did I heard him acknowledging how hard that must have been for ZY to navigate through those feelings. It was all about “You can’t or your brother has gone through so much blah blah blah 🙄😑 (If I didn’t know better, I would think he is the one in love with Qian, tsk tsk).
    4) He couldn’t let it rest and carried throughout the entire ep. And being the one who suggested ZY leaves…Honestly San Pang who are you…like are you the self-proclaimed godfather to them or something 🤔 🙄 😒 😏

I just can’t with San Pang in this ep. Anyway, it’s clear Zhiyuan and Qian have big issues to go through and we all know silence or separation is not really the answer but a delay. I don’t blame Qian for his reaction based on what we know of him and maybe this time apart is needed for him to think things through. I’m curious to see how his feelings will change from just brother to romantic partner because so far I’ve seen no sign of such. My heart broke 💔 into pieces the scene where Qian asked Zhiyuan if he is not tired and Zhiyuan’s response and emotions literally broke me down…I cried that I nearly choked on my pringles…hehe

  5. I wish yuan will meet and come back with some hot dude who’s adamant to pursue him so that qian knows what being brushed off means, and being heartbroken, jealous and hurt at the same time means

  6. Unlike others, I understand what San Pang is doing. Because I can see he clearly cares for both Qian and Yuan. I found myself nodding along when he mentioned that Yuan has only ever known Qian because he is right. Yuan’s worldview is limited. Everything good or bad, happy or terrible, he has experienced is highly linked to Qian in someway. That’s all he knows and that’s all he’s able to know given how he was raised. He is still in many ways a child that has not seen much of the world. Further more, the fact that Qian was the one to practically raise him makes his feelings kind of unhealthy, at least from San Pang and Qian’s point of view. That’s what San Pang couldn’t explain in that scene and why he kept saying, He’s Wei Qian. Anyone would do but not Qian because of the dynamic they’ve had growing up together. I know a lot of people will be against his meddling but keep in mind, Taiwan is a community based society so San Pang interfering is not out of the norm. I would consider him part of their extended found family. He clearly cares (as we see when Yuan is wounded and bleeding) and is just trying to make sure the relationship between the two does not implode which it eventually does.

Now onto Qian. I have to say, I just love him so much. Even more so after this episode. All his actions makes sense even though they were unpleasant for Yuan. The scene where Yuan forcibly kisses him and his reaction afterwards is easily one of the best scenes I’ve ever seen. He’s visibly shaken and even lashes out. I think for him, he’s just never considered the possibility of Yuan liking him in a way that is inherently sexual. Even though for Qian, Yuan is easily the most important person to him along with Lili, it’s a very different box he’s put Yuan in than the type of box Yuan wants to be in. And that is uncomfortable, understandably. The separation is good for them because Qian also needs time to reorient Yuan’s place in his head, from a younger sibling to a possibly romantic one. That’s why Yuan kissing him is important too. Because now they can never go back to what they used to be, which forces Qian to view Yuan in a different light going forward. And it’s because of this that he will be able to slowly accept Yuan’s feelings. I do feel bad for Yuan though, the scenes where he’s crying had me crying as well.

So much emotions. This might go down as my favourite episode of any BL. In fact, this might go down as my favourite BL ever.

  7. I expected this episode to be heavy but this was too much for me to take in
The feeling of your love not being reciprocated. It hurts me seeing yuan breaking down like that 😭😭
I hadn’t cried this much watching a series since last twilight. This was a longer episode but at what cost.🥲

I really don’t know how the story is going to go from this point. The trailer for next episode didn’t give away much either.😭😭

Oh and one word fu*k you sang pang
I know you consider them family but it’s their matter. Let them sort it out themselves. He was constantly meddling in , I am boiling with rage.

  8. Beautiful, heartbreaking episode. I felt Yuan’s hurt and Qian’s confusion and awkwardness. The attention given to details in this show is astonishing. Both their drunk act was stunning. Loved it when Qian rejected that lady (btw she’s so cool!) and all he had on his mind was Yuan not being okay. Didn’t expect Qian avoiding Yuan like that and Yuan leaving all alone be so painful. But I’m glad the confession happened and Yuan went abroad. Gives Qian some time to understand him and his feelings better.

    I absolutely love this show

  9. Pft! Not meddling!? 🤨

San-ge really really rubs salt deeper into Yuan’s wounded heart. Previously, he set Qian up with multiple blind dates, then dropped the bomb of a future sister-in-law and even showed a photo saying they’re a good pair. This time, he introduced Yuan to the said person at the contract signing event as if it was an engagement ceremony.

San Pang is like the mother who tried hard to marry the prodigal son off to steer him away from the wrong path.

But I also believe that San Pang’s action was helpful in a way of pushing the brothers forward into admission of their own feelings/desires.

Well, like all dramas. A separation and time jump would bring the main couple back together whether it be sad or happy, and it’s the only way to bring a conclusion to the series. Anyway, they have each other’s symbolic love exchange trinkets.

I found on X (formerly twitter) a post regarding the symbolic red thread/string in Asian cultures.

Recalling a scene from episode 4 of Yuan’s inner monologue.

  10. Ok so anyways these actors are AMAZING!!!! The dude playing San Pang cudos to you tho cuz you played the character too perfectly lol i hate san-ge rn. Anddd Yuan you killed it !!!

  11. UMMMMMMM….. u guys are so invested in the love story that ya are forgetting the situation here. someone’s perfect family just went to shiet and ya wana blame the bestie who had the balls to confront the situation. Ya call it meddling but my man has been around since day1 and not as a friend u see every other week. Nah he is around EVERY SINGLE DAY. If anyone was allowed to comment on what happens in that household it would be him. And yes although he is a friend he is also family. If anything he feels like a parent or an auntie. 🤣 When Yuan asked him why he shouldnt like Qian he couldnt come up with an answer and just kept saying because he is Qian. I took this as him saying because he raised you and Qian never once had that thought in mind. Even when finding out Yuan liked guys or Qian, Pang never was grossed out about it and treated him the same. Could he have maybe taken 5 min to listen to how Yuan felt about this? Yes but like i said in their eyes Yuan is that brat they raised. If they had some other kind of relationship he he probably wouldnt have approached him the way he did or wouldve been more understanding. Also wait a minute ya going on and on about his approach but did we not see a drunk Yuan force a kiss on Qian? Causing all this to happen in the first place? Qian was pissed and Pang walked into that mess.

Given we know the distance will make Qian realize his feelings and Pang will also notice it. I think Pang was trying to save Yuan from a heart break in his own way but little does he know Qian has subtly shown he feels something as well. Only Qian is able to hide it well while Yuan absolutely not. You can tell from 10 miles a way that Qian is his everything.

Like i said last episode Qian probably had an idea the guy Yuan liked was himself, but was in denial about it. Now he is forced to take action and confront Yuan’s feelings for him. Ya seem to forget he raised Yuan, and its not an easy switch to make from guardian to lover. Maybe if ur a creep and prepped them for it but thats not the case here. So I can understand Qian’s hesitation, fear, unacceptance, denial, saddness frustration.. etc etc

What I dont like is how they keep Lili in the dark as if she is 5.. she is graduating soon yet acts like she is 12.

  12. Well the episode we all dreaded has arrived. Putting aside Pang’s meddling Yuan’s departure would have happened either way and frankly it needed to happen for Qian to get space, for Yuan’s health and peace of mind even though the heart break will follow him regardless of distance. I have a feeling Qian had an inkling that Yuan liked him hence he constantly asked why Yuan can’t find someone else notice he never said find a girl or girlfriend but instead constantly said someone else. Another thing that stood out to me is that when Yuan kept asking Pang why he could not like Qian, Pang kept dodging the question which is weird because he could have easily said because they were brothers; that is not something new Yuan would have heard so why not say that. This makes me draw two conclusions; one, is Pang hiding some suppressed feelings toward Yuan, he doesn’t seem to have any girlfriend yet insists on finding Qian one knowing that Yuan likes Qian, and him knowing that Yuan likes Qian when no one else did not even meddling Lily who discovered Yuan’s books; this shows me that he is paying closer attention to Yuan than everyone else. The second conclusion is that Pang is homophobic. It was as if he wanted to say to Yuan that he, Yuan, cannot like Qian not because Yuan is Qian’s “brother” but because Qian is a man.
Anyways those are my thoughts on Pang.
It would be so awesome though if Yuan came back to visit for the holidays and brought with him a close friend who likes him and is trying to date him. That would give us the reaction from Qian that would either prove he has feelings for Yuan or prove that he just sees Yuan as a brother and cannot imagine liking his brother.
So many questions, so I am definitely looking forward to episode 7.
