1. Of course Shaoshang would choose to be with the only woman who treated her as a mother during the hardest time instead of a woman who has only abandoned her and belittled her. If this lady wanted to have a mother-daughter relationship with Shaoshang, she should have at least treated her like a relative and not a soldier. Let’s not forget: they didn’t simply abandon Shaoshang as a baby, they also never went to visit her or take her with them for 15 years! They can blame that trashy grandmother all they want but it’s not like they ever tried to correct their mistake.

2. damn i cried so hard at the end, because i feel so bad for shaoshang. In the beginning of the series she was more kind of ‘pure innocent’ with the grudge of her parents leaving her since young. But now with Ling Buyi situation she definitely is more hurted.
