  1. There is no words to describe the beauty of Queen of Tears. Although my experience watching it has been simply the most draining, heart-wrenching, emotional time of my life, my eyes have been opened once again as I’ve experienced love at its rawest. Was it the well-thought dialogue or the pristine scenery, maybe the accurate casting that made me obsessed with this k-drama? I do not know. I didn’t know that 8 weeks ago, when I started this drama…I clicked on it simply because I saw some of my favourite actors and actresses.

Truly, I believe no one could foresee the true impact this kdrama would have except the Park Ji-eun, the queen of writing scripts! This show she created overtook my life like a storm, as it became the only thing a hopeless romantic (like myself) could dream of. Let’s say it’s no surprise Kim Soo-Hyun received this script; as evident as it is by his acting, in Queen of Tears, My Love from a Star and It’s Okay Not To Be Okay, he is extremely talented. And my girl Kim Ji-won has been so underrated in the industry. She’s never really had her moment to internationally shine, even though her performances have been exceptional since Descendants of the Sun. I knew her potential since day one so I am ever so grateful that this production gave her the opportunity.

Each and every actress and actor did not slack when it came to their performance; every side character has made me feel emotional at some point. However, this drama wasn’t just all tears; the balance between humour and melancholy in this drama was amazing. The funniest moments always had something to do with Soo-cheol and his antics- and let me not get started on how they humorously turned around all the kdrama cliches. It was the perfect medicine for the depressive scenes.

Overall, I will deeply miss this kdrama. I’m glad that’s it’s already met great success, especially becoming tvN first k-drama with one billion views! I also wish it future success, and hope all the actors and actresses get the awards they deserve- especially Kim Soo Hyun. Everyone I knew was going through a kdrama slumber, we were tired of seeing the same love stories with mediocre ending; I’m glad to say my passion has officially reawakened. This was the best ending I could have dreamed of.

  2. It’s the END and I now have attachment issues…
This drama took the title “QUEEN OF TEARS” very literally…like we shed too many tears every ep. even until to the end….whew

  3. this drama has all the element of all the drama i watched for past years..

now i know whats the reason kim so hyun cuts her fee.. his screentime until the end is cut also.. 😂
they really put all the genre in 1 drama..

  4. ngl, as much as I hated his character, Eunsang’s had such a pitiful life, even after what happened to him, all his mother cared about was taking over his shares and company

  5. As I already commented here , that writer Park ji eun is known for happy ending and I’m right about that. What a masterpiece she created every time and this time also. Perfect casting, incredible acting from every actors , beautiful ost , beautiful plot and HAPPY ENDING makes this drama MASTERPIECE in kdrama history. *Well KSH & Park Ji eun combination always create magic*

KSH what I can say to you . You are heart of this drama. You always prove why you are different from any other actors. Wish you win baeksang this year as best actor ….you are totally worth it , totally 🧡

In the end viewers tears not wasted…. because we got happy ending. enjoyed this Emotional lovers ride who born to love each other , Baeksang Hyun woo ❤️ Hong Hae in goodbye 🧡🧡

  6. One of the best parts that added to my viewing experience was definitely the comments. Expressing collective hatred and crying together (week after week phew) while also laughing at their antics and all the memes just made this drama so much more memorable.
See you guys in the next one!

  7. I have no words aaaah I just wanna cry because it has ended no more sat-sun tearing up weekend for me.

    THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!

  8. Goodbye our beautiful Baekhong 🥲 Eun-seong was a fool to the end and it did feel like we spent so much time on them that their downfall wasn’t satisfying enough. The happy ending we got was always going to be perfection from their chemistry alone so those final moments were so beautiful (gravestone was a little uncalled for). Them playing the opening again at the end was the cherry on top, up there with the OBS opening for me.

  9. No Kdrama Kdrama-ed the way “Queen of Tears” Kdrama-ed for the past year until now. I mean, what don’t you have here?? The richXpoor dynamic, near perfect ML, childhood connections and what other cliche’s you could possibly think of is present here. But what sets Queen of Tears apart?? The execution, especially the acting of the main leads and the support they received from the support leads. It wasn’t flawless if I am being honest but I will say this – Kdrama Cliches are fun to watch if they are done right. That is exactly what was done here. Those cliches are what makes a Kdrama, Kdrama!!

Speaking of the finale, ngl the ambulance scene made me think of Kim Jung Hyn’s ending in CLOY. Thankfully, everything went well. And I can’t believe I am saying this – I felt bad for Yoon Eun Sung. Not that I magically forgive him for everything but the hate he received should actually be diverted to Ms.Moh. Because of her greed, she abandoned her son who could have become a good guy if he had been brought up with love. But it is a scenario we will never come to know. The man until the end wanted his mother’s love – something that could have changed him for the better. But, the reality is the psychopath who will achieve what he wants no matter the cost.It was also genius script writing for making the old gentlemen be the future Baek Hyun Woo. They managed to give us a plot twist even in the finale.
They both finally realised that they should have communicated instead of avoiding the problem. The scene in the beginning where she says it will be difficult shows that she really cared about Hyun Woo. And Hyun woo took a long detour but he finally kept the promise he made to her.

For people who couldn’t understand all the hype and saying that they didn’t have chemistry, this was the one of the most realest portrayal of a married couple. The chemistry seemed( Keyword being seemed) lacking because unlike most kdrama couples, they didn’t show the slow burn that was their love but rather focused on the hardships and how they overcame that by trusting each other. If that isn’t love, I dunno what is. You gotta read between the lines and nuances conveyed in each scene to understand their chemistry. For the people who binge this, we struggled, cried and pulled our hairs apart for this series, which you won’t go through( totally not envious at all) but enjoy the ride that is the “QUEEN OF TEARS”

  10. She went first. And at the end, we remember the two, as they were and not as they became. And that is OK because they were dealt rotten cards.

  11. what a beautiful beautiful beautiful journey it was. just one word I have, PERFECT!!!

Kudos to the writer, director, the entire cast n crew, and obviously the STYLISTS, they made all these beautiful people all the more desirable with the perfect styling 👏👏👏👏. Will miss it dearly 😔😔

    ❤️❤️🥰🥰

  12. this was a great story about love specifically Baek Hyun’s love for Haein. A love above all including his self-love but Lord I pray I never love someone this much. To the point that I do not care about myself at all. And always place them, their live, their satefy, and their family above mine.

  13. loved the ending, but man, did I cry watching this 😭😭😢😢😢

but m glad they spent their time and life together, but I still wish that they hadn’t shown this, I know it’s the reality of everything and everyone and it just hit so hard 😔😔😔

Hae in had already seen thus, though she didn’t know that this man would be Hyun woo and the grave would be hers….

  14. Yoon eun sung was a jerk, an evil inside out, but have to say Park Sung hoon did a splendid job, his acting is always so gud and believable, thoroughly enjoyed him, hated Yoon eun sung to the core but loved and love Park Sung hoon to the moon and back 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️

  15. Yay! I love the ending and they have kid too! So sad that this is the final episode but at least the ending is good so I can feel better when I leave and find another show to watch in a good mood.

Well then, hope to see most of you over at Lovely Runner section. =)

  16. she came out with perfect blow dried straight hair and prefect makeup….South Korean prisons have quite amazing facilities I must say….🤐🤐🤐

  17. she’s the coolest mom ❤️❤️❤️❤️

and she’s the 2nd coolest mum after Ahn jeong won’s mum in Hospital Playlist, my ultimate favourite Kim hye Sook Ahjumma….

  18. I AM NOT READY FOR THIS TO END!!!! make a 150 episode drama out of this. even only 10 min episodes will do

  19. I knew that Hae in’s brother’s death was caused by this mother-son duo, I had this thought that Eun sung might’ve pushed him in the water, but turned out it was the mum who did something to the boat and he saw all of that…..

and have to say, Ahjumma did an amazing job as well, she was unhinged and she portrayed it to perfection….

  20. I’ll be honest, the actor who played Yoon, I loved his expression at this last episode, feelings of obsession, anger, insecurities, spitefulness towards his mother, hate and extreme jealousy of Hyun Woo and misery, all selfish emotions in his last s rne when he decided to kill Hae-In than watch her be with Hyun-Woo.

  21. Let’s give a compliment to his lawyer friend . We all need loyal friends who support us in difficult times and he was always where when HW needed somebody by his site . I mean they are still a part of his support team . His parents and siblings were an important part

  22. After getting hit by car he then leaves hospital goes to save her and gets shot in the back its a tough job being the lead in this episode of drama

  23. another favourite couple and another happy ending ❤️❤️

he’s really teaching Aunt Beomja how to be patient 🤣🤣🤣

  24. Why director why why you have to make us cry until the last minute. Although it was a happy ending I cried buckets after seeing HW visiting HN’s grave like man stayed TRUE to his words until his last breath. Really happy that they gave us an almost 2 hours episode because of which the end didn’t felt rushed at all.
Even there kid was so cute. One of the best castings we got in this drama and none of the tears went wasted at all. Thank you for such an amazing drama. I sure gonna rewatch it once again after get over with the end after few days. Let me cry few more times by watching the end on repeat basis for today.
Does anyone have any idea what we will get in the extra 2 episodes releasing next week

  25. Since everybody is already appreciating HW and HI’s acting, I would like give Soo cheol a bit of love…actually lots of love. This guy is such a good actor that I’ve always wondered why he’s been so underrated all these years (believing acknowedgement=lead roles). But thinking back on it, a good supporting cast is like the backbone of everyone drama and he nails his roles everytime. There has never been a time his character in any drama failed to leave an impression on me. Even here, he made me laugh, cry, question his dumb actions and empathize with his love for his family….Kudos to him once again for making this drama whole❣️❣️

  26. “so please wake up, hear me out, and tell me everything is okay” following up on my last post, I still cannot shake this feeling of selfishness from Haein and I think the worst part for me is that it is selfishness that Baek Hyun supports, allows and almost expects. throughout the show, we have seen him give all of himself for her and her family and never the other way round. Haein has never given up anything, tolerated anything, or even endured anything purely out of love for Baek Hyun. And as I said before, I hope and pray that I never end up in such a marriage where I love someone to the point that I lose all love, respect, and perseverance for myself.

  27. All that pain and suffering and Hong Hae-In still left first. I would ask was it worth it? But I already know what Baek Hyun Woo’s answer will be.

But why does this ending hurt more than the entire drama? Something about Baek Hyun Woo all old and wrinkled, walking along their favourite places all alone really tugged at my heart strings. The writer could have just left it at them having a beautiful daughter who I’m sure will be as feisty as her mum.

    10/10 for me.

  28. i will miss you qot fandom and ofc this drama too! no more crying. all that crying paid off todayy!!

  29. Oh my heart ❤ will miss this kdrama..
Now that they showed ep 16.. Hong Hae In saw old Baek hyun woo bringing flowers to her grave before surgery.. that’s just amazing 🥰 also, I’m glad that they had a second child together.. though I’m sad that Hae In died first before Baek hyun woo…
Amazing kdrama.. actors and all cast members and crew.. amazing script 👏
And not to forget… amazing people in the comment section 💜😅
Now we wait for another kdrama🥰🤗

  30. Don’t you just love LOVE❣️It’s been a while since we had a romance like this. Sure, this made me bawl my eyes out but it was so worth it. We saw love in its rawest form. The love that’s hard, painful, resentful. You might fall apart, but it’s that love that’ll bring you back to each other. I’m surely gonna miss this drama but I’m glad it happened.

  31. I must’ve been laughing for a good fine minutes at that. That lawyer like seriously… its all over woman.

  32. Still think it would have more poetic with a tragic ending like Hyun dying. From day one i could smell the anticlimatic ending so i was surprised it didn’t have one.

  33. Since i started watching Kdramas (around 2014) , i never have watched a better and most beautiful ending. This ending was so perfect and the story ended so beautifully. the writers have my respect for ending it like this. I have no words. This drama ending made me lose my words and this doesn’t happen often. It was just perfect

  34. What I’m the most grateful about is the fact that this drama gave us this ONSCREEN PAIRING❣️ I never would’ve imagined it but I’m not going to get over this for a while. The way they looked at each other, especially HW made me see how much his love is for HI. I felt butterflies everytime they were together on screen 💜🥰

  35. To be completely honest here, at the end of the day, I felt more happy for these three.

Brilliant drama. Very engaging right from the start. The characters, the actors, all were brilliant. Want to specifically praise the cinematographer here for these views.

As for Eun-sung, no doubt he was despicable, but he was also a very tragic character. Maybe if he had received love in his life, he wouldn’t have been so miserable. Not only his mother abandoned him, but didn’t even shed a tear at his death.

  36. BRAVA!!!
OST and everything was perfect I’m just gonna wait for the KimKim news bwahahahaha just me being delulu~

    THERE MIGHT BE SPOILERS AHEAD!
    – about Moh though there was an unanswered question actually… why was she so hell bent on destroying the queens that she even killed Su Wan and left his son like that
    – Grace had a very “beautiful” redemption arc cause she literally went from the one who does it for the bad guys but is now the loyal mole to the good guys
    – Da Hye and Soo Cheol’s scene was sweet she liked strawberry shortcake when it was from Soo Cheol but when it was just from the chairman it was tasteless if that’s not love then what is it?!

I saw on a reel that Yang Gi could be Secretary Na’s husband well that could be true! HAHAHA judging from this episode everything really adds up!

I love how they wraped up the drama… THE PICTURES. awww <3

thank you everyone for giving us such a drama!

  37. Not much to write about, stupid plot with many holes. The court evidence in the episode were hilarious. The biggest hole was mrs. Moh fake identity. Which the Chairman daughter and ML knew about. Of course they didn’t use this at all, because this was one thing that could have ended the whole drama very quickly. I mean at the beginning. A person who faked his death and get fake identity can’t sign documents, can’t receive anything and can’t be any threat. With this I will remember this drama. This and KJW.

  38. That scene of hyun wo as an old widow visitin his late wife resting place was such a beautiful one, such a bittersweet and at the same time chilling scene. Amazing.

  39. This drama makes me cry until the very last minute.

But, where is the fountain scene Lee Joobin mentioned during their interview?

  40. AMONG THE DRAMA’S OUT THERE WHICH GENERALIZING AND GLAMORIZING CHEATING, BETRAYAL, ADULTERY AND SHOWING VIOLENCE AND FORCED ROMANCE BY ML AS MACHO FOR RATINGS AND CHEAP PUBLICITY WHICH MADE PEOPLE TO LOSE HOPE AND TRUST IN ANY RELATIONSHIP OR EVEN IN PEOPLE WHO ARE CLOSE TO US WHICH IN RETURN MADE PEOPLE TO DOUBT EVERY THING AND EVERY ONE,

THIS DRAMA GIVEN A HOPE FOR VIEWERS, LIKE AN OXYGEN FOR A PERSON TRAPPED UNDER WATER WHO IS TRYING HARD TO SURVIVE.

THIS DRAMA HAS EVERY THING TO MAKE VIEWERS TO KEEP ENGAGE.

    FOR ME,
BESIDES ML AND FL, ML MOTHER CHARACTER IS TOP NOTCH WORK, SHE’S SAINT.

  41. Lol…….someone actually said Lovely Runner was drama of the year already while this wonderful piece was in full swing. It’s been a horrible time for Korean dramas in where there has been letdown after letdown where most have not been able to sustain the hype and the strong starts they had. We’ve had mediocre pieces running the same themes and content all streaming at once or one after another with different stars. This is by far the best drama I’ve seen since Moving and it will be extremely difficult for any other drama to catch this one for the rest of the year~
What makes Queen of Tears special is that it was written and finished cleanly enough to where you don’t want to see a sequel or anything else from it. There was enough closure given to us in where anything extra would damage how well written this piece was and impact the ending we were given. I dont even think the actual screen writer could match themselves up with another drama created within the same Queen of Tears universe and spin out a sequel or prequel that could compare. I’ve absolutely nothing negative to say about Queen of Tears. Top notch from start to finish~

  42. Woww such an incredible drama!! I loved it I would give it 9.2 out of 10. It would have been a 10 if I didn’t cry till the end. I loved the writing, cast, scenery and production team did such a great job I love it so muchhh. I will definitely be rewatching this after I have healed and had a break from the amount of stress it has caused me. Once again thank you to the team. You did so well

  43. I am soooo satisfied with the ending🥺🥺🥺 No loopholes, just a bit sad about that old hyun woo scene. And thats it guys. Qot finally signing off. See you around the comment sections of new dramas. As of now see you in My lovely runner comments. Adiossss🤣

  44. The reason why I like HW best friend more than anyone is because of his loyalty. Since the beginning everyone disliked him because he suggested HW to divorce HI, but I liked that fact he was behaving just like one of us .. couldnt see his friend hurt and he wants his friend to be released from hell. He was true to his character and was most sincere and loyal than anybody even ML & FL were pretty much twited in their own way. I like this guy from Hospital Playlist.. but this char indeed boosts him a lot.

  45. l loved this drama till the end!!!!❤️❤️
They gave us the cutest ending ever🥹🥹

We won our auntie Beom ja found love!!

Baek hyun woo aged like fine wine being the ideal husband Hong Haein wanted even after death parted them 🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭

PS: Find yourself a loyal friend like Baek hyun woo’s bestie

  46. This is the kind of love of you would want for yourself. Not the unconditional love, because human as we are, we have expectations and boundaries. But this love, it isn’t unconditional but rather, it is imperfect. It is understanding. It is difficult but it endures. Most especially, it stays.

  47. AHAHAHA poor guy still needs to work even after getting shot 😭😭😂😂

One pointed a gun, and one took a bullet for his woman. Mr. Colorblind could NEVER hold a candle towards Baek Hyun Woo. And let’s appreciate all the people around Baek Hyun Woo. Yang Gi is definitely one hell of a friend. Hyun Woo told him everything but never once he tattled and he always supported him (regardless it was a good or bad decision). He’s always there for Hyun Woo. Hyun Woo got a whole squad ready to run to help him. I guess his kindness really goes a long way.

HaeIn’s family character development is definitely one of the best yet. They really came a long way. I really grew fond of each and everyone of them as the story progressed. The ending somehow making me feel sad but it is strangely healing? Everything just completes one thing or the other.

Kim Soo Hyun really knows how to pick his dramas. He almost got no bad script. He always goes extra miles in all of his projects. He really deserves every penny he got. What an incredible actor.

Now here goes my Saturday Sunday dramas withdrawal. 😭

  48. What an amazing drama, it’s been quite the teary journey but I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, 10/10

  49. Thank you for having translating every episode as fast as you can. I know the hard working behind that.
*Clap de fin* it was an amazing journey, the drama of the year so far!

  50. That ending is definitely up there as one of the most gut-wrenching, tear inducing, and heart breaking endings. I didn’t think they were going to bring up the old man at the grave again but her he is as Hyun Woo himself. The way I couldn’t stop crying.

This show came out on my birthday and I got to say this is one of the best presents, not only to me but to the whole kdrama community. It was beautiful from beginning to end (minus delulu Eun Sung but even his role was portrayed perfectly). I don’t know when I’ll be able to watch something that consumed this completely again but I’m happy that I was able to enjoy this show.

  51. this is what i meant when i say i want a happy ending fr, what a perfect drama i’ll def miss this T-T

  52. aigoooooooooooo aigooooooooooo what are we gonna do next weekend onwards??????????????????????????????????????????????/

  53. Such a beautiful ending I really enjoyed this drama. Yeah for the aunt she got her man 🤣 I knew those two would make a cute couple.
I can’t lie seeing Hae In, break down in her MIL arms had me crying too 😢 seeing her let out all her emotions

QUEEN OF TEARS ensinou a VIVER, AMAR, SORRIR, pois ninguem sabe o dia de amanhã, bens ficam e a vida passa. Priorize a VIDA, valoriza a familia, não guarde magoas, mantenha a comunicação, o respeito e tenha o melhor HAPPY ENDING.
