  1. I don’t blame him for being happy he was obviously treated like a slave and the years of that got rid of any love he had for her at one point.

  2. I know that this is a comedy, and his in-laws have been treating Hyunwoo like a slave etc. But am I really supposed to root for someone who celebrated the fact that his wife is dying? Supposedly, Hyunwoo was in love with Haein at some point. And he’s also a decent, if not good, guy. So doesn’t he feel bad at all? Most normal people would at the very least feel pity if they heard that someone they vaguely know was dying from a brain tumor. I’m not expecting him to feel depressed or anything. And obviously, he should be planning to get some money. But he didn’t have one moment to reflect on this dramatic event. Not one slightly empathetic thought like “she’s so young” or “wow that sounds like a horrible death”. He was ready to literally throw a party instead of a funeral. Dubious personal past aside, the scriptwriter herself seems to think that this kind of reaction is perfectly fine. Which is very weird to me, because that’s the pattern of behavior I would be expecting from a psychopath, usually a villain, not the romantic lead!

    1. i agree exactly what i thought, isnt it a little bit extreme to be happy that your wife is dying? the one woman you were in love with at one point in your life even if he was treated harshly by her family? she didnt force him to marry into the family either after knowing they’re chaebols he still went ahead with the wedding. Despite the distance they have in their relationship i’ve seen her repeatedly defend him and backing him up secretly, meanwhile what he does secretly is talk trash and wish for her quick death which is so out of character to me

    Her illness is true. The synopsis says about miraculous story. I wonder why it’s in the description. I just hope it’s ahappy ending

  8. ppl who think she is faking it what are your biggest clues ? What does she win by faking it ? She needs to protect him against her family otherwise the whole thing is useless . I mean he loved her he just hates being a useless tool for the family they can throw around

    The whole time they showed him sleeping so well, i was thinking is he really happy that the one person he loved is dying? wishing death on someone else that you loved?

  12. Actors and their chemistry wise, this drama is the bomb. Comedy wise also it’s dark comedy but I like it. But story wise, I know it will unfold in the next episodes (it’s not a bad thing and will still wait for the next episodes) but I am not yet 100% sold.

I like how this drama is showing how insane it is to be treated like a regular woman who is a daughter in law but infact it’s son in law in this case. f it is torturous to a man being like that it is infact torturous to many women who are living like that. No wonder women don’t want marriage no more.

So this is a story about rediscovery of love, that umbrella scene wasn’t the 1st time they fell in love, he was there when she was younger, only that she remembered or forgotten about it because of the disease and he knows nothing but studying, so he pretty much knows nothing but what he learned in law school.

  30. I take back what I said about the ML. I get that he is so mentally drained that he thinks her dying is a god sent opportunity but to be so happy about a person dying doesn’t sit well with me. This is why I needed her POV. I thought nobody was on his side but it turns nobody’s on her side as well. I can’t wait for them to communicate and see that they are both actually still very much in love if you take out her awful family out of the equations. The epilogues are so sweet that I wish they actually start communicating their actual feelings and understand where both come from. I loved how she was honest about suspecting him and was sad to see her being happy over him researching about the miracles. I wonder if our ML noticed how she was treated before and stood up for her like this. This is literally gonna give me all the feels.I just know it. I am also gonna ignore the death flag hovering over Hae In for my sanity and enjoy this chaos of a couple for now. I smell a good kdrama😈

  32. It’s the “HE FELL FIRST AND SHE FELL HARDER” kind of trope. I really hope in that 3 months he will pick up the reason why he married her in the first place. Just thinking about her illness and he’s happy that she’s dying makes my heart hurt. It’s really obvious that she’s still in love but she doesn’t know that she is. Really hoping that the miracle in the description would happen. And also, Hae-in still suspects him so I’m having second thoughts if she really had terminal illness

    Please don’t be a love triangle. The SML should just be a way for them to be together again.

  34. Everything aside, him (ML) being so happy about her dying and desperately praying for her to die sooner than later just doesn’t sit well with me. I get that you’ve been treated like a servant more than an equal, but this is another level of apathy.

    And yesterday, I thought he just wants to get away from her and is not greedy for her wealth, but the sudden shift to being a materialistic prick is not a good look.

  36. I think this is going to be the best K-drama of the year. First of all, the drama is clearly a black comedy, a genre which isn’t done in K-drama until now. There are few dramas like Vincenzo, It’s okay to not be okay that have touched the dark comedy slightly, but it wasn’t full on like this.

    I think this is the first ever K-drama to do that. I am very impressed. Every character in this drama is clearly selfish and will do bad things but will be represented in comedic manner. I have seen dark comedy in Hollywood and European tv shows but the darkness of characters in general dark comedy genre is extreme, but I don’t think it will be that dark as the demographics and cultural habits of K-drama viewers cannot watch it as a comedy anymore if it is too dark. I think for a K-drama this level of selfish characters and comedic timing is appropriate and I hope as the show goes on every episode to be awesome and of course dark with full of humor. So for people who are saying/complaining how can ML be happy with FL dying, that’s the whole point of a dark comedy. But since this also a K-drama and not extreme dark comedy like western shows, you will eventually see all characters becoming slowly good.

  37. So he is to happy because she is dying. She think he is happy because she can survive? Not romance at all. She is really sick. I still think it is the best for him to run from this family. I start to think she don’t have will signed before the marriage. Because there isn’t anyone she would like to leave her money to. I mean from her own family. Still don’t like where this is going.

  41. I am eagerly waiting for their journey of rediscovering the love they once had for each other which might’ve not disappeared all along but just covered by layers of resentment.

    I am enjoying the dark humor. Him being so happy about her dying does not feel good, but then again, this is exactly the driving plot of the drama. It is meant to be this way.

  43. I kinda wish either replace Hyun Woo with myself, or slap Hyun Woo really hard so he would wake up. She’s depressed. She need someone on her side. I get that Hyun Woo also suffocated by her family. But she also in the same situation. Be with her. Be there for each other. She obviously still very much in love with him.

    But seriously. Good drama! I want more and I want happy ending for both our leads.

  45. Kim Ji won choose a nice role to play, no like not the actual nice person type of thing But I loved her role in “The Heirs” as Rachel and thought it suit her perfectly. So to see her in this type of role again, I love it. She fits in these of characters. Rich classy type.

  47. Watching the drama for the plot.
    THE PLOT:

    I swear ma man have really great wardrobe in this drama. Especially after getting used to seeing him in IOTNBO wearing sweatshirt and nurse uniform all the time 😂😂
    Now we got to see him dress rich and in tux on a weekly basis. I meann… 🤤🤤🤩🤩😍😍

    And I love how everyone in social media just collectively agree that this drama is practically an acting party. I mean HELLO KIM SOO HYUN?? KIM JIWON?? Their micro-expressions in each scene is TOP NOTCH. I really want to see the BTS for this drama. I bet everyone was so impressed by their acting.

  53. Another great episode! I love that they showed female’s pov it was very imp. I did resonate with the ML in the first epi but I completely understand FL too…it’s so sad and she def has some unsolved traumatic story forcing her to become who she is now..
    I get that the ML was so exhausted and everything but him wishing her death and doing all those things for her assets or money doesn’t sit right to me it’s almost as if he is playing her feelings because we can see she is genuinely falling in love.
    Another thing which came to my mind was that sure the fl was being as she is now too personality wise but did ML try?? especially like he is now?
    And I want to know what happened that made their marriage this way!
    But yes it’s just the 2nd epi and there is a long way to go..I like the buildup too..

  55. Marriage is about communication. If one party is not opening up, than the another should make the attempt to seek conversation.
    I guess this never happened in their case. Hyun-woo hoped Hae-in will speak against her family in his support while Hae-in waited for Hyun-woo to show affection. In the end, both jus came to a point where their “love marriage” grew to “loveless marriage”.

    In the first episode, I sympathized with the ML, but no longer. Seeking divorce from your wife is one thing but awaiting for her to drop dead is just downright cruel.

    Love this character here. She is so damn hilarious.

  56. Everyone on this drama is on another level kind of crazy characters. They’re all old faces in kdramaland. The production really took their best efforts to cast these stars and we also have to talk about the helicopters and cgi for hallucinations and the boar that’s a lot of production budget

  59. I understand the ML the FL and her family r very abusive towards him. Even when he wanted to divorce her he got scared of her dad stabbing him in the back. I just know this won’t end well tho how he started being romantic to her just cus shes dying, Idk how they would come back from that when its revealed

I know he’s had it hard but she really has no one and the only person she thinks that wouldnt want her dead and might be on her side wants her dead and was so happy with the idea of it 😭 I cant see this as romance whether he is jealous or not until he feels the weight of her terminal illness. Like does he know about her forgetfullness and the losing of time? Hallucinations? Like he doesnt realize how serious this is when he loved her in the past so much 😭I feel like they had infatuation but didnt get to know each other (fears and past and all) to build up on it

  64. i don’t like how people are taking sides. these two people have their own struggles. they have caused each other’s pain (directly or indirectly). they’re not perfect characters yet they’re perfect
    hyunwoo really became a sweet & alert husband in a sec
    hyunwoo giving haein a morning kiss, giving his wife flowers for their wedding anniversary, prepares her food, calling ambulance for choking on water, peeling shrimps, and warming her.

    haein will start to lose her memories no wonder they showed those montage of germany scenes as memories hyunwoo will remind her and fall harder the angst & melo here
    imagine hyunwoo being the only one who remembers these precious memories 😭 and he will take her to all the places they ever visited before to remind her about them, i’m preparing myself to be strong but many box of tissues im not kidding😭
    even tho they aren’t happy in their 3 years of marraige, they still love nad care for e/o and the way he protects her when haein’s trauma is haunting her hyunwoo’s there to save her :((

    i can smell jealousy hyunwoo was so hot for that he indirectly telling eunseong to leave him and his wife alone 😁 jealousy is the first step towards him falling harder for haein

  67. This is a dark comedy for sure. I find it funny that the ML wants her dead and his whole plan to make her feel loved and leave all her money to him backfired badly.

    I DO HAVE A FELLING that she actually made a will years ago leaving all her the assets to him and protecting him from her family ambition, BUT since their communication is trash he thinks the worst of her and is going to regret later all his resentment towards her.
