  1. This drama totally broke me….I felt soooo bad for both the leads but at the same time i felt infuriated with both of them as well…I mean San did ruin her life in a way since she lost everything after becoming his concubine and obviously she never told him her real feelings that infuriated me as well but you gotta feel bad for both of them San being a lonely king who did truly love her but his love became a prison for Deok im….I don’t know how to interpret the end but yes it makes more sense that they reunited in afterlife where San chose her over being a good king…..really hoped he would have done so in real before he lost her…..I’m still heartbroken from this drama how will I overcome from this πŸ™

  2. this drama hit hard,i ended it last night at 2:48 am,emotional turmoil ,made ma cry like a crazy girl but worthet , i love how the characters loved the way they knew how to,it was beatiful.the ACTORS IN THIS MOVIE ARE EXTREMELY AMAZING and the crew ,producers ,script writers did a fantaic job…THUS DESERVES A GRAMMY

  3. this will indeed stay with me forever,i was conflicted and impressed on how each character expressed love in a way they knew how to, ITS HEART BREAKING AND I JUST ENDED THIS SERIE NOW AT 3AM lmao but am crying like a fool, also actually made me curious if there any kings who fell in love genuinely .TO THE ACTORS,SCRIPT WRITERS ,AND EVERYONE WHO HELPED CREATE THIS MASTER PIECE,UR AMAZING ….THIS SERIE DESERVES A BIG MOVIE AWARD TBH…thank you

  4. Thank you, to the whole team of “The Red Sleeve Cuff. You did an amazing job. I cried a lot of the ending but at the same time I was happy because they are together in King’s dream. What an awesome story. For me, this one is the best historical drama in 2021.

  5. I love this Kdrama because it really shows how a court lady lives in that era. And also how women were so restricted back then

  6. i enjoyed the drama but the episode 16 & 17 is make me crazy . it means i hate duk im until the end she is crazy and selfish . i hate the writer of this drama series . don’t ever try to watch this drama its makes you upset and destroying your day and your fanatics of korean drama .

  7. The last 2 eps were heartbreaking, he did have a very frightening dream as slept on her lap
So it could have been just a dream of the death of both the crown ? Prince and her yet they also said a memory forever which could also mean as he was dying he remembers sleeping on her lap
But why would that memory be cherished when it coincides with a bad dream??
So I believe that it was just a dream but I wish she had told him how she does feel about him because I believe that she loves him

  8. This drama is so great i loved it if you are going to start it you’ll surely enjoy it but I guess the serial was a so much better when he was a crown Prince cz after he became the king there were not so much funny scenes it then just became a harsh reality but anyways i was so happy that he was just dreaming at the end

  9. THIS IS SUCH A SAD ENDING…. I cried a lot!!! Everyone died at the end. But yet again, this drama is so beautiful in so many ways as it tells us lessons about LIFE, LOVE and DEATH!!! That we have no control over our fate and that life is not something that we can stop from evolving and from finishing its course!!! That no matter what we do. things will happen according to its purpose and time,,, Nothing is permanent in this world, We have to realise that no matter how rich, or powerful and strong we are. there are so many things we cannot change such as destiny or fate- Such as birth and death!!! The ONLY thing that we have control of is How we live our lives… HOW WE GIVE and RECEIVE LOVE. In the end, LOVE stands strong for both Duk-Im and San ( the KING). In the end they chose to be together even after death!!!! incredibly nice DRAMA!!!!

  10. This was so sad and lonely life for the king, he lost every one except his mother. The saddest is how his lover left him nothing i mean nothing at all, no child, no gift, and no comforting words???? he was really lonely. Can you imagine living such a life?

What made me happy was how his subjects (the whole country) was really satisfied by the king’s work. He really was a good king? this made me really happy. His life was not in vein he lived well tho lonely he made a difference.

Its comforting to know that he had someone with him in the after life. At first i thought that all of that was a dream he woke up from but again he took duk im to watch the flowers and lets be honest we cant ignore all those achievements as a king.

I am thankful to the director and the writers for leaving this end like this, this is really good no heartache, well there is? i really wished for her (consort sung) to atleast give birth to that child as a confort to king?‍♀️

Lets thank the whole Read sleeves cuff Team they did an amazing job?????????????????

  11. It was a dream if you remember correctly the impression he made when him woke up it was as if he would never see her again. I love and cherish this movies not because it is a romantic movies but because it was well placed and even gave the viewers right to choose the ending. At first I thought Yi San died but after watching it again I found out it was a dream. So nice movie Jung Ji-in Song Yeon-hwa. It is really a nice movie

    1. Honestly, this was such a boring and slow kdrama and like episode 17 was literally so unnecessary, I wish I never watched it, the whole time I was so bored and jsit wanted it to end ngl

  12. Unos de los finales mas horribles Mataram on mi emocion de ver dramas Koreanos Estoy en paro complete no mas dramas Keanos para mi es perdida de tiempo ?????

  13. only mature people will understand that this isn’t a love story. the drama shows how the court lady sung deok I’m lived her life. this is based on a true story.

    1. Oh, really is it a true story?
Wow that a story. But i think this was a Lee San story than court lady sung.

If she really existed in history i can’t imagine how this was a sad life

    2. Yes. I can’t imagine living as a court lady tho. Deok Im became lonely after becoming a consort. She wanted a free and happy life with her friends as court lady.
I even read the history of Jeongjo lol.
Many viewers are disappointed about the ending, but that’s actually what happened in the history. Deok Im didn’t live long after being a consort. And all of her children died. Eventually, she died because of sickness.
But overall, this drama is great. One second it brings laughter, the next 2 seconds it brings tears. I just can’t—
I have no regrets watching this. Even the sad ending is fine for me.

  14. Umay ang panget ng endinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggΔ£gggggggggggggggggggΔ£ggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.. 3 ang namatay sa mag kakaibigan. Namatay anak nya at pinag bubuntis.. namatay dn hari.. puro namatay nlng.. wala man lang kht konting happy ending. Umaaaayyyyyyyyy.. anyway thank you pa dn.. bye bye na sa kapawa ko nanood ng kdrama na to.. see you sa ibang kdrama

  15. I do think it’s up to the viewers how they wanna interpret the end.. But after watching it again.. what I interpreted was the last scene when Lee San was about to open the door, what would happen if he opened the door was that he would go back to life, that’s why Deok Im kept telling him to go back to where he belonged. But he chose to stay with Deok Im in the afterlife that’s why the last script from Deok Im was β€œSo the moment became forever.” It’s β€˜forever’ because it’s the afterlife. And Junho is saying the same thing in the caption in his IG (the moment becomes forever). So did Seyoung in her caption (that they’ll watch the flowers bloom together and meet Young Hee again who died). I cried a lot thinking about this ?? It’s sad that everyone dies in the end. And Lee San is such a sad character because from when he was young everyone so dear to him kept leaving his side one by one. My heart aches whenever I think of him ?

    1. This just gave me closure ?????….thought about how everyone left him including his grandfather……sad but somewhat reality ending ?

    2. I thought of it the other way as it was just his dream, but then thank you for helping making it clear. I am amazed on how they put up with such idyllic ending and thank you to all crew of THE RED SLEEVE CUFF for letting us experience life though this beautiful drama. YOU ALL DESERVE THE BEST I GUARENTEE.??

  16. End was kind of confusing but it was such a beautiful drama , in beginning it was very cheerful but it became sad at last episodes, it is one of my favourite kdrama

  17. It`s up to you to decide how would you want it to end, the director left us with the freedom of choice. I Personally think that all that happened (her death, the time that passed) wasn`t a nightmare, but his final reunion with her was a dream, the kind which people see before death or in coma. What I noticed was that she didn`t answered if she loved him even in his possibly last dream. Overall, the ending surprised me, in a good way, I didn`t expected such a meaningful finale.

  18. We all agree that the writer only included this episode to provoke the media. Right?

    Because what is this mess?

    1. he died, as she did too. but he stayed with her in that moment, in the afterlife, for eternity. as she said when she passed, they happily watched the flowers bloom, together.

      1. I’ve cried when watching alot of kdramas, for example moon lovers, sorry but I love you But this series got me into deep depression. I honestly asked myself that what is the meaning of life if we are all going to die, meaningless 😒it breaks my heart that this is a true story. All in all the creator knows

    2. It`s up to you how to interpret it.The director left us with the freedom of choice on how we would want the series to end. I personally think that the king was on his deathbed and he really wanted to be reunited with Dok Im, but she was insisting that he go back to life, to his duties. All that happened wasn`t his nightmare, but his reunion with her was a dream, the kind which people see while in coma. What I noticed is that Dok Im didn`t answered if she loves him even in his possibly last dream

    3. In real life she actually died before the king and none of her children became a king…. it was a sad ending unfortunately

    4. I think it was kind of a dream or a vision, you know? Like what it was gonna happen if he chose the kingdom over spending time with her. He realized they didn’t have much time, so he chose to stay with her in the last scene (different from the dream where he decided to leave).

  19. I enjoyed it, got a bit much at the end…so sad, made me cry.
I found I got infuriated with the female lead’s lines…or lack of one in particular. It drove me nuts that she never confessed her true feelings!!! All the innuendo was there but she lacked the insight to realise what he really needed to hear from her.
Other than that I loved this period piece.

  20. My journey of watching The Red Sleeve Cuff was Beautiful…..Filled with all kinds of emotion. Loved the ending even though it was sad and sadder because it was based on real life story, I enjoyed every bit of it.
