  4. I am really happy with this series, one of the my favorite and I am glad season 2 announcement is made. But my only disappointing point is how they made the father as a good person suddenly at the end.

    Frankly told, Seun Ju is not mentally right at all ever since he was young. He constantly felt the threat of his mother committing suicide, her alcoholism and fear of chairman ever finding out he is not his real son. He grew up with his mother telling him he has to become the chairman of the company or their lives will be over. It really screwed him up mentally. I am not justifying seunju crimes, he deserves to be in jail totally. Just because he had abusive and unstable parents does not give him the right to kill someone. Because Isoo also went through same amount of abuse by this father and he didn’t kill anyone.

    I really disliked the father to the end, even at the end, he still said to isoo “hey that’s the truth, believe it or not as you see fit,” and walked away. He never properly apologized for the miscommunications he has arise, and the truths he always hid. He never treated his lover, wife, real son, fake son, none of them the right way and always made them feel abandoned. Even when he found out his wife and son played hands in killing the real father, he never acted as a family member and instead told them to get out of the house and go to jail like it is some business deal. He married her for convenience but didn’t even honor the marriage as soon as he found out he got a real son. I know the mother is easily a villain for the eye (yes she is a villain for torturing her own and step son), but I always felt the chairman was much worse as a person than her. He was a spineless, gutless and a coward who never knew how to be a proper father or a partner to both the woman in his life. He just always planned/ did abandon his family constantly.

    But over all this is a great drama. I wonder what kind of season 2 they are planning, hope it gets released by next year.

  5. It got me very emotional at some point but everything was nicely wrapped up. The step brother lost everything and got a fair punishment. Who would have thought that a child can be a murderer, thus the finger prints were disregarded….

    More than excited to see Jin Isso back as a mastery key investigation.
    Awesome show!!! I can’t wait for the Season 2.

  6. I’m super happy with everything this drama offered! The cases were believable and for the first time I had ZERO complaints about how the cops handled the cases, Isso’s character growth was fascinating, no forced romance, no “he was the kid living next door” trope and the most important thing is A FCKING WELL WRITTEN FEMALE LEAD CHARACTER!!! AND SHE’S A DETECTIVE??? I binged this drama in two days before the finale so it’s a 10/10 for me ^^ A super fun ride ♥ I cannot wait for season 2.

  8. Now, let’s move on to the next season, Mr. Choi, even though I’m sorry to suspect you previously but I need to know the reason you step down from your CEO position to be a butler, personally for Jin Isoo.

    I can smell something cooking up with Mr. Choi for next season.

    But for this season, thanks for wrapping it up. Even if it’s 50% plausible. Unless the Big Bro coming back next season.

    I would’ve loved if the mum was the culprit, for once I wanted the step brother to be a gud person…..but couldn’t understand if he really liked Isoo or he really just pitied him all this time??? was he really nice and kind to Isoo cz he was never interested in taking over the business and was busy living his luxurious life??? never once he was shown having an evil expression behind Isoo’s back, cz he never thought he did anything wrong, he did everything because that’s what he was “supposed” to do…..

    and all of a sudden the mum became so concerned and soft and kindhearted that she became mute and paralysed at her son’s actions???? like woman, that’s exactly what u wanted him to be, what’s your problem now??? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  10. I really liked the fresh concept of “Epilogues” in this….they weren’t flashbacks, but flashforwards which made me more eager to watch the next episode 👏👏👏

  11. Bohyun never failed to choose a good project. followed him since itaewon class. he is smart and his acting skills are good. definitely my favorite actor, together with Ji Sung and Lee Jong Suk. So happy to see the drama got a second season too.

    Ps: FL mother is MVP of the series imo.

  12. The drama wrapped up nicely so I’m left wondering what direction will they take for Season 2.

    This drama was an unexpected surprise and became better as the episodes progressed. Everyone did their role justice. I’m especially glad that after a while we had a FL who could stand her own.

  13. Well, it was a good finale, even if I don’t entirely like what they with the brother.Looking forward to season 2, I’m hoping that they bring back everyone from the main team and the forensic doctor at least, although I think they should also bring back GH’s parents and Mr. Choi.

    Here you have it, the romance tag finally justified😂.

    A well-deserved promotion 🙂.

    KJ was as scared as IS that GH would submit the resignation letter 🤣.

  17. I want season 2 NOW. The story was unique although I could guess the brother and step-mom were villain right from the start. Looks like he is going to be full-time cop. Season 2 better be more interesting than this without any change in the casting. Wouldn’t mind additional casts.

  18. I am so thankful to the writer for not ending this on a negative point, I liked how their friendship developed by the end of the drama you can now really see that they’re a team. ALSO WHERE THE FAQ WAS THE ROMANCE AGHH ITS DRIVING ME MAD I WANTED GANGHYUN AND ISOO AS END GAME😭😭

    FLEX X COP is read as FLEX INTO COP …….. definitely the defining arc for ABH’s character!! He started as the chaebol flex and morphed into a good cop with serious skills!!

    Oh this was so satisfying. Mr. Choi (Alfred 😉 was rewarded for his hard work…….by more hard work ahead as the new chairman. LOL

    The scenes between Jin I Soo and his brother were so heartbreaking… 25 years long bond shattered in a moment… but also why? Because Cho Hee Ja couldn’t tell her son that the chairman knew he was not the actual father and still married her anyway? Telling the elder brother that could have kept all of them alive. A part of me is deeply sad for the older brother whose entire life was spent with one abusive parent and one neglectful one, and he lived with the guilt of what he had done to the only person who actually genuinely cared for him. Whoa lots to unpack there! I Soo probably better sign up for therapy……but not with that hypnotizing therapist…… 😀

    We have been thanking the writers all along for the entire season for writing a strong female lead and I just want to re-iterate that again. Thank you for not falling into that pit hole of “she’s a detective but now that there is a guy on the scene, let’s make her cringe-worthy”. She remains a strong, logical, somewhat teasing friend and colleague who also trusts I Soo when no one else did ………..and kicks ass to boot!!

    Loved the moment between the coroner and the police officer, he finally made his move yay! And the scene between FL’s mom and I Soo made me cry, it was so tender. I have found, it is the kindness that makes you cry more than cruelty.

    Every actor in the show was perfection. Yes even the villains. I am so ready for season 2 already!

  25. I guess no choice but to only be seated for season 2. Great plot, cast and build up.. Could see that the production team was a funny group of people, great chemistry makes great dramas! hope to see more dramas like this

  26. “… were for nothing.” I finished the sentence loud before he said it. (40 years author experience). It was the elegant moral of this brilliant series. Defenitely Season 2 needed. Happy that her mother could offer him her soup and comforted him motherly. Nice that the one romance started with a nonpathological liquid and the other not yet. So S2 must come soon. Palli! Palli! 🎬🏆

  27. “This is your fault. If you hadn’t been born I wouldn’t have done this.” He is soo right! I-Soo spirit should have appeared in his parents’ dreams before he existed and begged his parents not let him be born so he brother doesn’t become a murderer. OMG, I-Soo was so selfish to allow himself to be born Poor Seung-Ju. life was so unfair to him.

    Seung-Ju whining and throwing the blame at everyone as if he’s the most oppressed person in this world who was forced or had no other choice.
    Meanwhile, I- Soo traumatized from seeing his mother in that state, lived with the idea that his mother committed suicide, was forced to live with a woman who hated him and a father who mostly ignored him yet still turned a better human than his sh*t bro.
    But for real writer could have gone easy on I-Soo for real. Lost his mom to young, his dad without resolving things with him, and his beloved bro who caused both anguish. If he still sane after this…..Meanwhile, Hee-Ja has a mental breakdown after realizing her son is a monster.
