  1. I don’t recall a cross dressing drama that makes us speculating this much about did he or did he not know he is a she 🤣 It’s probably because the deception drags out for so long which annoys me as h*ll.
    However, at this point I won’t say the King see MW as just a friend. He does have feelings, I mean deep feelings for MW regardless of her gender.

  2. i explained somewhere why he wasn’t exactly being mean on purpose and i’ll tell you what i think of his behavior : he’s just flaunting his power as king and being angry to mask his guilt.. and he said things he doesn’t mean too … as soon as she left in ep 6 after the intense convo, he remembered when she was imploring him to save her friend and he turned his back on her … he is still angry with how things turned out he too blames himself .. deep down her hating him haunts him and he doesn’t wanna hear her say it out loud .. victim of the circumstance ………………… it’s just his defense mechanism at work … i think he is because he can’t bear to hear her say the things he already knows .. he is tormented by the fact that she almost died unjustly and that he couldn’t save her

    also and note this : after the scene of all of them in the queen’s headquarters he and mong woo have a convo where the king’s features soften upon hearing her say she expects him to help her, and he answers you STILL expect me to help . now this sentence is important because this sentence gave him hope that she will put her faith in him again and that she didn’t lose it completely , gave him hope that she might forgive him one day .. poor king fr .. he felt like she will redeem him the past and what happened .. he’s still is angry clearly because of how it all went down .. he remembers how she implored and how he had to turn his back on her … this is is gonna break me lol i’m officially all for the king ..

    did you also see his soft spot to his nephew ( he isn’t having any kids too so his nephew ascends the throne ) 🙁 nothing breaks my heart more than when a sweet soft loving caring soul is forced to turn cold wrathful cruel and merciless … that’s what they turned him into .. it’s all the fault of myung ha’s father scheme to make him a traitor he isn’t in the eyes of the late mad king and even after his death in the eyes of the ministers and also the queen dowager who clearly conspired with his uncle to poison the late king , his beloved brother in order to make him ascend the throne …

  3. For a drama that I keep re-watching, I would rate 10. This one I subtract .5 point due to FL’s acting.
    I would like her to show more emotional ranges. Her limitation is even more prominent when she is next to ML whose acting is top notch.

Some are saying the king chose to let her die no he didn’t even the punishment was three years of labor( I mean lenient much for a serious treason in a serious historical ) .. but things got off track with hongjang dying and the guards slashing mongwoo with a sword when she escaped and then her servants took her .. I keep saying there’s something about the plan and the event back then that we didn’t know so .: he didn’t really leave her to die . He just didn’t think he is decision would lead to her death that’s all there is to it .. and he got mad n lost his mind because of what happened like he said he did in the intense convo in ep 6

  7. so now the drama is gonna go the typical path of him being already jealous of Mong woo and Myung ha being close to each other, and now he’ll get more jealous watching them hugging, and one of these days he’ll realise that “ohhh i might’ve fallen for Mong woo”, then he’ll deny it with all his might, cz how can he fall for a man despite having a Queen and 3 concubines (he has 3 if m not wrong), and now he’ll want to protect him as per the preview, and then he’ll find out that He is actually a She and then he’ll be at ease that he is normal and then he’ll protect her identity…..meanwhile she would’ve fallen for him, again and would know y he did what he did…..meanwhile Myung ha would never get the girl nor the revenge 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    well for now it seems that the story would go this way…..

    never saw her utter a single word in front of the former King and now she confronts the guards….😈😈

    but the King knows her tactics, he trust no one and she’s included but she doesn’t know that….

    but dun know y I felt today that the person giving inside information to Mong woo could be her….probability is almost zero to none, but I just felt….

  10. I feel so bad for her, she looks terminally ill and no one pays attention to her, not even the King, and once the King would know that Mong woo is a woman, he’d get involved with her romantically and she’d probably end up dying 😔😔😔

  12. What is this court lady’s obsession with Jinhan?? I’ve noticed a very subtle thing going on for him. I don’t doubt that she might have even poisoned the late king slowly to death, just so that he wouldn’t touch her and she would get to be with Jinhan.

  13. I had a long schmeel yesterday and was about to submit another with similar sentiments until the farce that was that ending flashed all over the screen. Feels like a painstaking amount of labor used to just allay the kings suspicions were destroyed in a second of horrific weakness on BOTH of their parts and once agaib, who is the underlying cause? Ima just wait and see what we get in episode 5. I’m just feeling like WOW~

  15. Well, the court lady believes she is entitled to be the King’s mistress or Queen. The fact that the QD gave her pendants for royal concubines gave her the confidence to claim more than what she is supposed to be. She is already jealous of the baduk player.

  17. Guys, is this getting somewhere? I was kinda disappointed with yesterday’s episode. She’s making a comeback as HE and this funny revenge thing she’s trying to plot with the villain’s son? She is crazy. I love Jo Jong suk and his acting, but if this continues I’ll have to drop this. 😭

  19. Grand Prince Munseong’s eyes looked at his Mother when the King asked his question. He confirmed the King’s suspicions. Mong-woo may not understand that her teaching him the game is also a way to mold him into a suitable ruler, I think he will end up replacing the King.
