  1. Shin Se Kyeong is in her absolute beauty prime.

She has – finally – lost her little girl face to complete her metamorphosis into a woman.
    Stunning.

  2. The terrible thing about all of this is her becoming the king’s woman officially is the end of their relationship. Let’s hope this doesn’t become a replay of Scarlet Heart Ryeo in terms of their relationship.

  3. Lady Dong is gonna go berserk when she finds out that he had his first night with MongWoo on the VERY same night he was supposed give himself to her. lemme grab some popcorn.

  4. Will it end in a tie or will the Qing envoy recognize that she played better than him but allowed him to win so he that will spare her?

  5. i never hated Yi in, since the start i loved his character and i completely understood that despite not being the “right ones” but he had to make the choices he made, to survive….

and i did say this in the earlier episodes when he ordered the punishment of Mong woo and others that there was someone when they left Hongjang’s body, and that might be Sang hwa, the King’s guard….it was hard to believe that he would kill Mong woo, but i still believed it cz he had to make that choice to save his throne and life….but now we all know that he sent his guard to save her….and that’s y he used to go berserk everytime it rained cz he wanted her to live but couldn’t save her…..he never killed anyone in his reign, its all that Principal director and Queen Dowagar…..

  6. another really good ep, it was somber and tense and watching the king weave and bob his way through his court was just sublime. i also like that although the romance was present, they didn’t make it the focal point. also that was totally a one night stand

  7. Please tell me I’m not the only one who can’t stand this FL. A cardboard could emote better than her!! Even the supporting characters are much better actors than her. And to think that she has been paired opposite to the ML who is a phenomenal actor. I’m so tired of looking at her stoic face since the beginning. I would have dropped this drama if not for ML.

  8. Dang, that’s the most dangerous game of baduk. She either wins the game and loses her life or humiliates herself with a fake loss and stays alive. Oooooh, is she suggesting that she takes the Janggeunryeon’s place? And yeah, if that guy is the envoy, her father is definitely still alive.

  9. For the first time in an asian historical drama I see how a prince who previously had his own people who sided with him (to get their own heir on the throne but still..) then after he became the king they all started to see him as the “force/power” they all are instinctively against and have to fight against that force or turn it into a puppet by manipulation. That creature on the throne who’s always on the opposite side no matter what. Bc at the end of the day they have to tame it to keep the power. I feel like the king’s nephew will be the next king bc he’ll be more level headed and better at forging relationships than the king now

  10. The mind game is strong at the end of this episode. Lee In set a trap for his uncle but there were moves he didn’t foresee. The plot is getting more and more interesting and I especially love how well they balanced their romance with the politics. I also like the way Lee In looks at Mongwoo. In the past, it was pure bliss. Then, when she came back, it was mixed with so many emotions, but I loved how it was also somewhat mysterious coz it was hard to read Lee In’s mind. Now that his intentions are clearer, he has been looking at Mongwoo with affection. And after that night, his gaze on Mongwoo is even softer. Gosh, Jo Jung-suk deserves a Daesang for this role. The layers of his portrayal are impressive and impeccable.

  11. I’ve been looking forward to hee soo’s plans for a while now and nothing has really happened she seems to get people in trouble and without having any plan B in case things go wary and l feel like they exchanged the princess too early, the real princess should have gone with them n then when meeting the envoy have bu yeong impersonate her. I’m also very disappointed she slept with him, what if she becomes pregnant they were all wary that if the king slept with court lady dong n bears an heir their “plan” would fall through and she then goes to do the very thing they were worried about and not to mention she’s a noble lady, sleeping with a man before being Wed, it’s not like the king forced her she initiated everything like l said before she doesn’t really have her priorities in check cause she’s putting everyone’s efforts at risk to being vain, who knows that maid might die like hongjang all because she ransomed them, l personally don’t think this is fair to anyone and she’s not being honest with people helping her and to be real what’s prince rui got to do with her grudge(which l doubt she still had the moment she laid eyes on him again) with the king, at first l didn’t like Kim myung ha but now l feel sorry for him might lose his remaining family because of her just like how his father died in his attempt to protect her, the two royal siblings were already a thorn to most of the officials by just being alive now with how she dragged them in her “plan” they might be killed for treason cause not sending the real princess is deceiving the king n angering prince rui who will stage war on joseon

  12. its pretty obvious she would force a draw and allow ML to make an intervention as neither of the initially agreed outcome is satisfactory. then they would extow her virtue for forcing a draw, as it is much harder than merely winning or loosing, like single handedly balancing a seesaw while the other is jumping around.
