Synopsis: Lee In is a prince who is deeply devoted to his older brother, King Lee Sun. When he is taken hostage by the Qing Dynasty, King Lee Sun views the act as betrayal and begins to despise his brother, causing Lee In to endure immense emotional pain.
Lee In then meets a talented Baduk player who fascinates him. When Lee In becomes King, he is strong externally, but is still carrying the heavy emotional burden from his brother’s disdain.
Kang Hee Soo, the Baduk player, falls in love with Lee In and begins to work as a spy to get her revenge. As their paths intertwine, a vortex of fate brings them on an emotional journey.

  3. Idk how I feel about this… the grand Prince seems like a total softie bc he’s always on the verge of tears, the King is cray cray and the palace schemes are about to get on my nerves 😭 (I’m still on the 1st ep)

  4. I wanna start by saying that young Korean men with lip gloss, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and tinted eyebrows back in the historical era was so pretty that even in men clothing they look like men/boys? They could have eased down on Sae Kyeong’s makeup when she was in her male character to make her stand out more in her female roll.
    Also, it would have made it more believable.
