  1. I don’t understand the makers of this drama , on one side they are disrespecting Indians (accent remark in ep 1 ) and on the other hand are using Rabindranath Tagore (Indian) quotes as a starter . Kinda Stupid

  2. Through the intro, we are going to be showered with the flowery scent of early 19th century poetry. Just for that I keep on watching. (edited)

  3. I don’t see any charisma between the leads. Victoria is a pretty actress but sometimes some of her characters have no depth. She plays the same type over and over. Too many episodes to tell their story, I’ll pass. I hope everyone enjoys this drama.

  4. There will always be a controversy in regards to foreigners’ accent in whatever an other language that person expresses his/her-self in, especially when addressing in English. This by itself says it all as if only English language should be the only language to speak with perfection. Isn’t that pretentious ? Not to mention that English community has the reputation to know little about other languages even with the opening of the Euro market. Having studied in Britain for decades, I know what I am talking about. They are restricted because English is the language mostly used in business.

As I commented episodes back, to pronounce accurately a foreign language, one has to live in that country for years if not at least a decade or, has to be brought up within a bilingual family or group. Asian countries, more specifically few of their respective cities with hundreds of colorful ethnies, rich in history, were confronted with British languages (Scottland, Ireland, Britain) only centuries ago. To add to this, even foreigners in Asia are unable to speak fluently an Asian language. One has to keep in mind that each word whatever the language has its own specificity in its modulation, rhythm, stress put on even a letter change the whole concept of the idea behind the sentence. To get into the structure of a language is too complicated to address here. So to frown infront a stranger trying hard to speak one’s language is an insult.

My concern here is why Cdramaland has chosen a native lady from India acting as an interpreter with such a strong Hindi accent ? On top of that, a lady that obviously has no acting training. And why they’ve chosen an English Caucasian with a bad prononciation and such an opinionated attitude to confront her ? This scene alone I found disturbing and segregationist towards her. I believe that Cdramaland could have done better. Cdramaland is so biased that they disregard Chinese actors/actresses which ethnic accent is too relevant. I do wish to see the day, Cdramaland offers a rainbow of its culture without shame.

  5. Now back to the essence of the story line. As we already know and it isn’t a secret to the viewers, that it’s the grandfather’s fault if the lovers were separated, I have only two scenarios that could fit in.

    Here they are

    1. It’s only about a passionate (I am still waiting for that vibe to burst the screen) love story similar to the 2015 Cdrama My Sunshine acting Tiffany Tang and Wallace Chung. Or the 2018 Cdrama Here To Heart (I couldn’t pass 5 episodes of this one with the sado-maso relationship) acting Janine Chang and Zhang Han. With domineering ex-lover and her submissive ex-girlfriend.

    2. An advertisement on multilingual-polyglote translator APP that will flood the market by the beginning of the 2nd quarter 2024.

  6. I need the interpreting to happen pronto – thats what attracted me and CXX. So far we got 10 min of it and the rest is techie stuff and business dealings so nothing new. Chemistry needs to ignite too…hopefully next few eps we get something.
