Me afraid of watching the final episode ? first going through the comments and then decided to watch it…I mean I couldn’t bear to see any of the king’s squad dead especially the bodyguard and hyun … this ain’t like most of the historical kdramas, whoever contributed to this storyline did a great job

  4. I want a happy ending to Hyun and the everloving queen too. They deserve happiness for their dedication. I love this drama but ending is in rush I guess.

    This is a drama that I will never forget. Much beautiful if it explained how she survived the poison at the end.

    And maaan, Hyun is a freaking MVP I swear. Who can love someone so pure that he is willing to sacrifice everything for her happiness, not even giving thought to his own? Man :(( I wish he could be happy too. I believe he’s the only 2nd male lead I know who kept his feelings hidden from the one he likes but never got corrupted due to bitter feelings. I really love him and his character. If Hyun exist in real life, the woman he will love will be very blessed. Real MVP I swear! TT^TT So selfless ;___; I wish I could do something to give him a happy end too. I was already having thoughts of how good it would be if he somewhat became king and I’m so glad that my hunch became true. Although, yes he may have had become king but isn’t that still lonely? ;(( I won’t be able to endure what he have been though. I could even go so far as to say he’s a freaking martyr OTL

  12. And the queen was still in love with Dam-i til the end. Hey, at least she lived here! In the webtoon, she died sacrificing herself for the King even though she already knew the King was a girl. She loved her through and through even beyond their genders. It was really heart-wrenching.

    1. Same Question?? And we did not see if the other person (sorry, can’t recall the name) who helped Da-mi’s grandfather to plot treason die?? I mean we only saw him injured and asking Dami’s grandfather to make sure he succeeded in ousting the queen. The end was rushed ? but its okay, It was a happy ending.

      1. My interpretations of the scenes are that:

        1- the capsule(s) she took prior to drinking the tea acted as an antidote to the poison–also, she was much younger/healthier than her grandfather…giving her an advantage against the much smaller intake of the poison that she served compared to the entire bowl her father consumed

        2- the treasonous cousin’s injuries were as grave as the treating physician had reported to the grandfather

    3. i think that the medicine she took before the tea worked out and saved her life and the other one was seriously injured so maybe he couldn’t be healed and died .
